    I agree second Janet about the flowers to plant or hanging baskets. I often get my mom those extra large geraniums that are already potted in a clay colored plastic container to set on the front patio all spring/summer. Other ideas are a summer set of p.j.'s, perfume, a basket full of nice soaps and lotions, c ds with her favorite music, gift certificates...
