ARCHIVED Gourmet Chocolate
Green12 replied to bakingbarb's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I think this is being discussed, or was discussed, in the thread titled Cadbury Mini Eggs. Hershey's, from what I understand, will no longer confirm if their natural flavorings are gluten-free or not. So if the ingredient list includes "natural flavors" it may or may not contain gluten. -

Just to restate what Colleen posted, Hershey's bought out Scharffen Berger and Dagoba chocolates as part of their premium chocolate division. I like Chocolove chocolate. -

ARCHIVED I Know This Might Be Asking A Lot But...
Green12 replied to a topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
What about turnips, parsnips, rutabagas, carrots, squashes (winter like acorn, spagetti, butternut or summer crookneck)?? Peas, split peas, lentils?? Can you have cranberries? If so you could make smoothies with pure unsweetened cranberry juice, your allowed fruits, and if you can find pure rice protein powder, or pure egg protein powder (I didn't... -
ARCHIVED Substitute For Eggs

I've used flaxseeds as an egg replacer successfully in baking baked goods (I haven't tried it with yeast breads though). For one large egg, take 1 tbsp of flaxseeds and 1/2 c water, blend until the consistency of a beaten egg. Ener-G Foods also has an Egg Replacer, I have also used that successfully with baked goods. This link has some other suggestions... -

Good luck with your appt Rachel, looking forward to hearing about it when you get back. About the chlorella Kassandra, I haven't taken it for a long time so I don't know what is currently advised, but when I did take it I think I took it 30 minutes before meals and before bed. If you don't want to chew them could you crush them with the... -

I just wanted to mention too that there is another thread in this leaky gut category about Candida. Moldlady posts there frequently and she is very knowledgeable. -

Just an update on me: I talked to my Dr for a couple of hours the other day, he really feels what happened with me is the MMR I had when I was 18 embedded the measles into my gut lining and then caused havoc with my digestive processes (this is what happens with autistic kids). I also had repeated rounds of antibiotics (and other perscription drugs... -

Sorry you had yet another unsatisfying appt Nyxie. I found with my experiences that some drs/practitioners do get their nose out of joint (or panties in a twist) when you are trying to work with other people, they aren't interested in a collaborative effort or compromising their agendas. In her defense though their are many schools of thought when... -

Carla, I don't know enough about the lyme cycle with abx to answer about that, but I do know the flus that are going around are really lingering. Not saying that that is it, but something to keep in mind. Some people are getting sick and it's lasting 2 weeks or longer, and some it will be on one week off the next and then back on for another two weeks... -

Hi Aziza, welcome to the thread Sorry you have been suffering so much. I don't have any specific answers but there are lots of knowledgeable posters in this thread, as well as on the forum. It might be helpful to know what tests you have already had done, and what if anything has been ruled out, also things you have been treated for with both... -

Paula, is it crazy down there with the water situation? Are you guys running out of bottled/jugged water or are they able to keep it in stock? Tamed, it is kind of true it would be impossible to kill off every bit of candida, or at least you wouldn't want to. Candida exists in all of us and in a healthy body it is in a balanced state, it's supposed... -

I'm sorry I didn't realize most licorice has gluten in it, I'm just not all that familiar with candy in general let alone what is gluten-free or not I know there are a handful of specialty companies you can order from that have gluten-free licorice, but that isn't helpful now since it's last minute here before Easter. I like the fruit roll up... -

Hi Amy I have combo skin, it really tends to be towards the dry side but I get oil in the t-zone areas. When I tried Intensive it really made me flake, Semi Matte was a little better but I just love how Original Glo felt today, and it's felt great ALL day. Even now at the end of the day I don't feel blotchy, or oil build up anywhere. I read... -

You're welcome Missy's Mom , glad you were able to get caught up! Those VCRs can be tricky I forgot to comment on the flashforward/flashback of last week's episode. I was so confused during. I know they said when they flashed back they always used that "swooshing" sound and no sound was used for the flash forwards. Well, I noticed it would... -

rinne I bet they taste great, like those cookbooks that are out that hide veggies in the recipes for kids.....i.e. spinach in brownies. It supposedly gives lots of flavor and depth to the baked goods. Thanks so much Rachel Isn't that the truth about the "bucket" getting full, mine seems to overflow very easily these days ... -

I don't vote either, never have. It surprises me Amanda went home actually, I liked her Janis Joplin-like voice. There are a lot of rockers this season when you think of it, David Cook, Michael Johns for the most part is too, Carly can go that way too. -

Well I have to go downtown today, figured I should break out the make-up I tried Original Glo formulation today and I LOVE it! I think it's my favorite so far (after trying Intensive and Semi matte) I used my flat top brush to apply the foundation instead of my kabuki for a switch, I think I like the kabuki for foundation better though personally...
