  2. tTG stands for Trans-tissue glutanamise (bad spelling, sorry). It is among the most reliable serologic test for celiac. A tTG of 130 would be a very high number, obviously, probably meaning severe villous atrophy (severe blunting of the villi). Since the tTG number usually corresponds to intestinal damage, it is logical that a low positive like your number...
  3. It seems like every month is celiac awareness month--first I hear June, then it's September, now it's October--I can't keep it straight anymore
  4. A sort of symptoms list from this site: https://www.celiac.com/st_main.html?p_catid...-04105372485.6b There are some lists elsewhere online, but you really need to combine a couple of them to get a relatively thorough listing.

  7. Excuse my playing devil's advocate here, but is heartburn really THAT closely connected to gluten that it would be mentioned in such an article?

  10. Interesting. Thank you for posting it here!
  11. Oh yeah...it'll take a long time to get approved and everything, if it works. But it's a big step. It will definitely be at least 5 yrs. before we can expect to see anything if we do by then!
  12. There is one...I saw it on the Listserv once. I don't know it or where exactly it is. Sorry.

    ARCHIVED Printing

Well, you need to open each post separately, and then you can highlight it and print. If you want to save paper and avoid all the ads and stuff, you can copy and paste it all into a word document to consolidate. Then print it once. But again, you have to open each post individually.
  14. Gas-X (one kind of it) contains wheat
  15. Seriously!?

  20. Soy protein...the product should be okay then. Could you tell us which brand it is? Because some look gluten-free, like Brach's, but deny being gluten-free due to some cross-contamination.
  21. Right. I had heard about villous atrophy also occuring in hepatitis and crohn's...
