  2. I take Centrum, as well...
  3. Hey, guys! It was yesterday and I really enjoyed it once again. I don't have the time to elaborate right now--just getting on quickly. The education day will be in June next year--as the International Symposium they're hosting--the largest Celiac gathering in the world that varies in venue each year. Last time it was in Ireland I heard. There are doctors...
  4. The only negative for me about the bread is that it's a little thick. I personally don't toast it for sandwiches, but experiment and see what works the best for you!
  5. Great! It started in the SE...then got to the NE (ME!) and worked its way west. The pies are great, but try the sandwich bread and you will never be able to look at another Kinnikinick, Ener-G, or any-other-brand-besides-Whole-Foods loaf.
  6. Contamination issues aside (which are big on their own), there are some dangers with the meat as... fisharefriendsnotfood began to illustrate... spices on the meat, gravies or sauces of any sort, injections... it's great to have meat--just make sure that A) They keep it completely plain and try to keep it from coming into contact with other foods--troubleshoot...
  7. Hi, I'm posting this on behalf of a friend of mine who has Celiac disease, but doesn't post on any boards. Rather than phrase it myself, I'll just let you read the e-mail: So, gluten-free teriyaki sauce, anyone?
  8. As a baby/toddler I was tall...then I fell back to middle of the class. By diagnosis I was shorter than most kids, but not REALLY short...just on the very low end of "average" or one of the less short short people, lol. I'm just saying, though, that I did spurt up and am still growing rapidly...I may not end up as tall as I would have been, but I'll still...
  9. Sorry... I thought maybe that had something to do with it...I can only imagine how long it takes to get past the initial shock/grief of that.
  10. Hey, Richard, where have you been? I haven't seen you in months! (on either board)
  11. I know...she has a great, relaxed writing style. It's a shame that a lot of the facts are off. If you want to read it, it's fine--I just wanted to warn people before that you must not take the "facts" too seriously. I panicked months into the diet thinking I was consuming gluten only to confirm, once again, that the product was gluten-free--it was just...
  12. He will catch up. That's what I've been doing--my growth on the chart is nearly straight up...jumping many percentiles with ove 40 pounds gained in the last few months. The dr. is just wondering when it'll slow down because at this rate I'll be 6'4" at age 17--lol, I won't be. More like 6'. The interesting thing he told me is to keep eating--a lot. He...

  14. Sent through here -------------->
  15. It would probably be from your cache--something that keeps certain aspects of a webpage stored for you so it's quicker to load. But it needs to update occasionally or else you'll see old information...usually it's pre-set to either search for a change whenever you visit the page, every so often, or never...etc. it should change soon enough or I'll tell you...
  16. And, if you just copy it from the top and paste it, it has the http:// in it already so you can bypass that step and just paste the link in. For example, if I were to put in a link to...google, if I just type the http:// and then www.google.com, it will automatically turn into a link without you having to hit the http button: Open Original Shared Link...
  17. Excellent idea about the celiac disease. I already sent it in, but I'll e-mail the word document to you--you don't have to read it unless you want to, but just so you can see what I ended up putting together. -celiac3270
  18. Sent -----> Thank you, but you didn't have to, lol
  19. Oh, and he can e-mail me if he wants...I'm about his age and then he knows there are others. We have maybe 5 or 6 kids who are 12-15ish, including happyasabeewithceliac (Lisa), flagbabyds (Molly), yllesh91 (Shelly), Melly, among others...
  20. I still don't know if it was the celiac one--didn't look @ the tape yet. Did anyone watch it so they can tell us if it was or not?
  21. Hey, I'm celiac3270, I'm 14, and I live in New York. Here are a few options: GIG Celiac Kids Camp... Open Original Shared Link CSA Camp Celiac....more for younger kids? Open Original Shared Link Support groups in NJ:
  22. They do sell the powder in a can... it should be in the popcorn section (cause it can supposedly be used to top that, as well). I probably mentioned that wherever you read it
  23. About 200 people in NYC area: Open Original Shared Link Or join the Westchester Celiac Sprue Support Group -- they sometimes have dinners and stuff in Manhattan, an annual picnic in Westchester somewhere, and meetings scattered.
  24. Ahh...when is the house on? Oh, and I have a question...I checked the site, looking for information on when it might be on (I'm taping this episode tonight just in case) and I found someone had written a 66 chapter story on a Fox message board in which House diagnosed someone as having Celiac. Is that someone from here?
