  1. Good points. Definitely get your mom and sister tested-- 1/22 first degree relatives have it and they show symptoms, so it would be good to test for it.
  2. There are many tools, though, to make it more efficient. First off, if you click more options, you can search by date range, user name, etc. Second, go to search and click advanced usage.   7. Yes...many won't accept that you have it even with the test results. The only thing is, if you got a diagnosis (even anonymous) you would have an even more "valid" reason from their perspective...also give them so literature, maybe...print off some articles about symptoms, diagnosis, how many it affects, etc.

Endoscopy -- In youngsters, since they have a smaller intestine, they usually show complete intestinal damage (whereas in the longer adult intestine, it's usually in the upper and lower regions of the intestines. However, you don't need villous damage for a diagnosis--you might have caught it early enough that there was no damage or the intestine healed...

  16. Open Original Shared Link would probably be good because while I don't know if it's anonymous, it is not accepted as formal diagnosis by doctors, nor is it accepted by insurance. However, most celiacs who have used Enterolab are satisfied with the results. On not being diagnosed in the first place: it's good that they not know it for what they charge...

  18. I have no clue what they taste like (for good reason ) but my dad tried Bard's when we went to Risotteria just to compare...and said it tasted exactly like regular beer. Of course, he hardly ever drinks, so I don't know if he's the best judge of it, but who knows.... The consensus on other boards is that of the two gluten-free beers: the Ramapo Valley one...

  20. Anyone can get celiac disease. Though it's generally thought to be primarily in Europeans, the highest rate of celiac is actually in certain areas of Africa. Asians are not immune from it.   21. Good ideas...I use the search feature all the time, but I think most people don't even remember that it's there, since it isn't really advertised, like you said. I found out about it only by being curious when I arrived and basically clicking everything, lol . I would have posted some links and stuff, but exams are looming
