  1. Hello and welcome Okay. First, were these tests done prior to or after going gluten-free. If after, your results could have been thrown off from no gluten in your system. I think it's a little early to strongly suspect something's wrong--it could take five months to feel better--but if you'd like to investigate other problems, that's probably...
  2. I often gurgle, too...but I only hear it when the whole room is quiet
  3. Okay! Right now it's...about 5 your time, so I'll make sure not to think anything until about 11:30 ET... LOL...no good intestinal vibes before, though. Good luck! Just not intestinal yet
  4. Open Original Shared Link -- about osteoporosis and celiac Open Original Shared Link -- Gluten Free living releases Spring issue of magazine
  5. Yay...good luck! . We love you, too
  6. Sorry--I mean tarnalberry two Tiffanys here...
  7. I'm also strongly in favor of many categories...it's difficult with message boards that have a general category and then only one or two others...not organized enough...and like Tiffany said, you can just view new posts...that's what I do
  8. I can tell, lol Scroll up a bit to where it shows the topic name, then a little more near the log out button....it's across from that next to 0 New Messages.
  9. Here's the pdf file w/ their gluten-free list: Open Original Shared Link
  10. 14 and a couple months...... feel free to e-mail or Im me, as well... How old are you?
  11. For color...the easiest way is to type it out, then highlight it, then click color or size or font and get the dropdown menu, then choose one. There should be weird writing on either side, but that will change to color when you hit add reply. You can also just choose your color, then type, then hit "close all tags" when you're done with that color. For...
  12. It's fine ...I would definitely recommend Wheat Free Worry Free (by Danna Korn)
  13. Most definitely your own toaster--the most important issue in cross-contamination. Though wood is probably the worst material to use for both gluten-free and non-gluten-free things, teflon is bad, too...too easy for stuff to get caught in it and I find that teflon often begins to peel pretty quickly, anyway.
  14. I had just read about it on another board. Yes, that's terrific!
  15. Definitely gluten-free... and I eat it a lot with no symptoms.
  16. Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link There was another article that required me to register free to view. I've done that sort of thing before, but only on the ones that actually seem quite interesting . This isn't an article, but I just found it. Free celiac recipes: Open Original Shared Link Thank you, Michelle
  17. I was going to recommend Foods By George products, which are free of most things: gluten, dairy, casein, lactose, nuts, soy, etc. but noticed that none of their products are egg-free. I think that will be the biggest problem with finding foods--so many food places cater to dairy-free, but not nearly as much for eggs. First, is your kitchen ready? New...
  18. There are a few possibilities: That he has celiac also That he has a wheat allergy or sensitivity That he just doesn't feel well when he eats it. My mom doesn't have celiac disease, but certain wheat products can cause bloating, etc. We weren't supposed to eat wheat--our digestive systems can't digest part of it...
  19. Always call with the rare exception that many people verify that a product is gluten-free within a recent timeframe...then I might just read the label. It's not a big deal at all...but if you want to get a direct answer, sometimes you need to call...otherwise it can take awhile to get your answer. I had to exchange e-mails with Baskin Robbins for days...
  20. Pamela's cookies work amazingly well--I think the best for a sort of chocolately crust is the chocolate cookies with the choc. chips in them--crumbled up, of course.
  21. Oh, I had heard that it was often given as a....fancy sort of present ...perhaps not. Umm...oh yeah, they're researching genetically modified wheat for celiacs that would be safe.
  22. Mariann had that problem, but it isn't really a big deal. The board only sends out one or two reply notifications per topic, but when you follow the link on one reply to your topic, obviously, you'll see all the others. And it will send replies for all topics, just not every reply.
  23. LOL, Karen...never thought of it that way. Also, about 5% of first degree relatives have celiac so your sister really should get tested.
  24. Nope...we have a PC w/ win 98 and we don't need any software. Just shut down the computer, put in the new mouse (any cheap one--$10 at Staples) and reboot... I haven't had to use any software for mice in years. What type of mouse is it? The Microsoft mouses don't need software--at least on my comp.
  25. Yes--I use view new posts since I'm on all the time, but to track topics, scroll to the bottom and there's a little icon like a notepad or something in the bottom left. Click on that and it expands to give you options to subscribe to the forum, the topic, etc. Choose to track the topic and you will be sent e-mail notification at each reply. You can also...
