  1. We are very conservative, I don't know if you guys know the half of it. I have also come to love all of you no matter your beliefs in whatever. In those situations we just agree to disagree. Anyway, it would drive me nuts if my mother did that and she certainly wouldn't see them alone if she did that! Last week was horrid, which I probably contributed...
  2. I'll be looking forward to your update Monday.
  3. At least you have emotional support. Financial support would be wonderful though wouldn't it. Sorry about the D. Hope you can narrow down the culprit. Well keep it and rent it out. Hm, interesting. I didn't know that. Keep us posted on how the salt is going. Sorry Bev. Love and hugs.....  Talitha...
  4. Stainless steel cleans easily. I don't know how easy it is to clean the rest of the mixer though. Just be thorough and it should be fine. Fritos have made me sick if I ate too many......cross contamination. Otherwise, as others have said flour dust can cause problems.
  5. Something happens to the oil when it is heated too much and causes a lot of free radicals from what I remember. Coconut oil is really good to use if you can handle coconut. Hope all goes well tomorrow. Keep us posted.
  6. And you jumped right into this big thread. I'm glad you have something else to rule in or out now.
  7. I hope things turn around for you soon. Rachel had a real good post about that. Hugs, and it's ok to vent. You need to give your mom an extra hug and tell her how much all this means to you. Jenny, I'm following along but don't have anything to add as I haven't been through it. Hugs for you too.
  8. Yes, I do.....pm me when you feel up to it. Get thyself to bed with your ice cream (so proud of you for not Racheling it) and your little Annie to take care of you. Hope your headache is gone by morning.
  9. That sounds like a really good thing to do. Hope you feel better in the morning. Love and hugs. See how good you did! That means if I see you've been on late tonight you're in trouble. That is so sad. :( Sorry you missed the doctor. I hope you feel better tomorrow. I'm here if you need an...
  10. That makes sense to me too. Remember Donna got tagged with Fibro even though they knew it wasn't that.
  11. Basically through trial and error. If they cause a reaction then don't eat them. They clean lines but if you get the beginning of the batch you'll more than likely react. If you get a batch from further in on production you'll probably be fine. There are very few dedicated lines for gluten free foods.
  12. From what I've heard only Lay's Stax is safe as far as cross contamination. I don't eat chips anymore. You may want to leave that out for a few weeks and see if that makes a difference. If your pans aren't scratched at all I would think they would be safe.
  13. The general consensus is that IBS is a label for something the doctors can't figure out. If you see an alternative type doctor (integrated/naturopath/holistic/llmd) you have a better chance of getting answers (at least that's the way it appears from the members of this thread).
  14. You don't need a doctor's permission to go gluten free. If you can live with dietary response then there is no need of further testing. Your glass cookware is perfectly fine to use. The things you need to worry about with cross contamination is non stick and plastic.
  15. Oh, I forgot to mention. I asked my mom about the rat bite and the possibility of lyme. She said they tested for that and I was clear.......with all I've learned is that supposed to make me feel better.
  16. Amanda, I'm sorry your sister has had to go through all of this. Thankfully she has a loving family who can help her get out of it. We all make some bad or not to good choices in life.....the thing is to learn from them.
  17. Rice Dream milk has a barley enzyme they use so it's not gluten free unless they've already changed formulation of it. I had heard they were going to.
  18. I'm not sure these are safe. I know I've read that Lay's Stax are or Utz but not ruffles.
  19. Stephanie, You are gluten, soy and casein intolerant, with a low malabsorption score. Any one of the three could have contributed to the malabsorption, or it could be something else. Remove all three from your diet. If after 6-12 months you see no improvement then continue looking for the cause. I would recommend staying off of those during the search...
  20. You may be able to lactate again if you want to try. I don't know the link to the study but I know my own child. He was just over 2 months when he broke out with ezcema. After intolerance testing for me, I went soy free and gluten lite. His eczema got better but didn't clear up. He cleared up when I went totally gluten free. Colic, I believe,...
  21. Pretty much. She doesn't agree with our lifestyle, beliefs or anything so that may be part of it. Talitha is easy to hurt, just like my mom and I were. I've got a backbone with some things, others no. My mom was hurt when she was younger and built a wall of protection around herself. I really don't want Talitha to have to do that. My mom should...
  22. Just talked to mom a little while ago. Talitha was taking her turn talking to her and I guess grandma had brought up taking her and Micah to NW Trek and Talitha started talking about grandma giving her food that made her sick before. I think that must have been awhile ago. When we've been up recently (all of us) it's been fine. Anyway, grandma got...
  23. Boy! You are an oldie. Must have had some time on your hands.
  24. Yeah, it's nice before it's posted. I don't know why this program scrunches everything together.
  25. That sounds really good.......somehow I think I'd be sick if I ate that much!
