  1. Listen to the naturopath. My doctor told me to eliminate everything that caused a reaction for two weeks and then start adding things back in every 4 days. If there is a reaction you need to wait until the reaction is gone which could take that long after the food is dropped off again. Start out with the lows for reintroducing. I, personally, would...
  2. That's heartbreaking Rachel. Poor girl. She'll probably believe there is nothing that can be done also.
  3. Lyme went through my head as well. Lyme rage you know. JUDY, YOUR POST TURNED OUT FINE!
  4. When I had mine done they used DHL. If they've changed to UPS then I don't know. Should be on the instruction sheets. We had our results in 2-3 weeks.
  5. I'm not sure Rachel. I know gluten and metals can cause those kinds of problems. Stress can do funny things to a body. Is he willing to look into alternative doctors for more thorough testing? Does she have to stay in the hospital?
  6. Could it be a combo of the mercury/toxins and maybe a flare or herx? Hope you feel better soon so you can enjoy the b-day party. Don't blame you there. Hope you don't get tied up tomorrow. I'm feeling ok, just have had a wretched daughter this week. I need a vacation from her but I always miss her even if I go shopping...
  7. I haven't looked at it yet but I will. Expecting hubby to call any minute (hopefully) to have me bring him his food. It's probable been around 20 hours since he last ate.
  8. Mercury affects a whole bunch of different things as Rachel has posted. Your GI doctor doesn't know what he is talking about. I don't know about the digestion test. I wouldn't think a radioactive solution would do you any good right now and would probable make matters worse. Hopefully Rachel will weigh in on this. The endoscopy would be pointless...
  9. Just put it in the freezer until the pickup guy comes. If you work outside the home then put it in the freezer overnight and then package it up and call for pickup. Since you're in the US they won't call you for customs.
  10. I golden retrievers.
  11. Uh oh. Glad you are feeling well enough now to consider going in for the rest of your shift though.
  12. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! The nerve of some people. I'm in disbelief over here. I knew people were rude, but...... When I'm in a hurry I just try to get the children moving faster and cooperating.
  13. Yep, she liked the pictures. Wild Oats has a decent selection. Nothing like Lingonberries since Lingonberries specializes in gluten-free stuff. Wild Oats is off exit 28 (Mill Plain Blvd), left at ramp light and down 2-3 miles. I think it's off 160th.
  14. Patti, Are you doing a little bit better today? A lot better?
  15. Good to hear from you Laura. I hope all goes well with your appointments today and that you get a reprieve. Have a fun weekend, but try to get your rest as well. We'll be here when you're able to update us. Glad you are giving your body a break. Hopefully your doctor will be able to help with your questions. T is still being very...
  16. Been a very trying day and now I've got to get everyone to bed......be back in a bit. Mitch has to stay over a couple hours from here.....
  17. Yay for Stinker! So glad she is feeling better.
  18. Doctors don't test for gluten intolerance, aside from having IgG intolerance testing done (ELISA). Most doctors don't do that and don't believe in it. I would highly recommend a holistic/naturopath doctor or a good LLMD (lyme literate medical doctor) to run a gamut of tests if the biopsy comes back negative. It very well could be celiac and/or it could...
  19. I can't eat carrots either. I tested very low for them but they don't like me or Seth (or maybe it was just Seth....I don't remember). I do eat lots of lettuce though. Now I wonder how much of our "problems with most grains" come from being treated. We do well with rice. The only corn we eat is in corn flakes for the most part.
  20. Yay on the new cookware. Better a little more work than making yourself sick. As far as Igenex I believe if you take the paperwork in that the doctor would mail it out. Carla would know for sure though since she did this.
  21. You'll get over it. Thanks for posting the codes. A lot of people would probably find that helpful.
  22. I had my whole family (except the baby) tested. With ours, we eliminated what showed positive and then went through the rounds of adding one food at a time back in. Most were accurate, some were not, others were a little problem that had been negative. It gives you something to start out with as far as an elimination diet if you want the quick way...
  23. This makes is so difficult to wait over another year before I get my teeth taken care of. Just can't do it this year. The rise in prices is going to eat us alive as it is.
  24. She and the rest of you could still have gluten intolerance without villi damage. That would still necessitate being gluten free.
