  1. In my mind that means gluten free for life. He's already reacting to it. It may not be enough to show up in a blood test though. His ttg is still below the threshhold which is good, and I believe that is one of the things they test for. I'm not up on the bloodwork tests though.
  2. Just do what you can when you can. Get your current bills worked down and in the meantime try to find a good doctor that can run a whole bunch of different tests when the time comes. I holistic/naturopath would be a good option. Stress can do many things to a person so that needs to be worked on as well. I know you mentioned your living situation...
  3. Yes, I believe that is basically what that means. Almost everyone has the potential to become gluten intolerant but it doesn't mean they will. My husband has 2 celiac genes and tested negative through enterolab. He went gluten free with the rest of us since we learned how harmful gluten can be and he didn't want to wait and see if the celiac genes...
  4. Yes, it is possible to miscarry that early. I've heard of a lot of miscarriages where the women didn't even know they were expecting. As far as the faint positive. If I remember correctly, when you look at the test kit you can see both vertical lines in each window. I thought that the times I ran my tests that there may have been a very faint horizontal...
  5. If your older boy is willing to go on the diet I would highly encourage him. He may not notice gluten bothering him until he goes off of it. None of us had symptoms that we were aware of but do react to gluten if we get some now.
  6. She's always been gluless on D/S but she used to be Robbin here.
  7. I knew who you were but forgot that you weren't gluless over here. Did you get a copy of your lyme test. Please get one and post if you didn't. We'd all like to see them. We do hope you'll become a regular again. Yes, Yes, Yes!!!
  8. Hope you enjoyed your lunch. Poor Morgan. Is she going to go through some things of the lyme protocal and she is she sees any improvements? Hope this herx is better than your last one. Thanks for clearing that up Rachel. My doctor uses the hair analysis for the minerals......don't know if he does blood work with those or not. He won...
  9. I need to write her. I haven't heard from her for about 3 weeks. She had just moved and was going through another outbreak, probably due to the stress of packing, moving, unpacking etc. I miss her too. I always know when she doesn't feel as well since I don't hear from her as much.
  10. This is getting to be a bit much! Hope this goes away and now. My daughter is on a tear again........she starts the mornings out nice.....doesn't last too long.
  11. I'm thinking, not.
  12. I see the hair analysis as either a metal you are not detoxing or something you have absolutely no problems with. The urine challenge would clear up what metals were the problem. For me to have low mercury in my hair with a mouth full of amalgams tells me I'm not excreting much. I think I forgot to comment on the grapefruit tree. That's a great...
  13. My doctor does the hair analysis along with the challenge that Rachel mentioned. He likes to look at both of them. I had a hair analysis done a little over a year ago and was low on mercury. He thinks mercury is a problem with me and looking at two of my children I'd have to agree. Jenny, If you'd be willing I'd highly suggest that you track...
  14. So yours and Bev's is on the 5th. She may not agree but it never hurts to run the Igenex western blots. Just make sure your order the kit from them when you have the funds and take it in with you. Kettle chips are what I ate. Love them. I always got the lightly salted. After eating a whole small bag once I got a little sick. Didn't want to...
  15. Glad you jumped in Jenny. Don't worry about reading through this unless you want to search out something specific and have tons of time on your hands. Just ask any questions you have, symptoms etc. As Rachel said I'm the healthiest of the group. I think my intolerances stem from amalgams which I'm hoping to get taken care of within 1 1/2 years...
  16. Good to see you Laura. Love and hugs. Hope you can get a good nights rest and that you feel better tomorrow.
  17. It can have false positives (I'm not sure about false negatives). It helps to pinpoint things and make an elimination diet easier to start since you know what to eliminate. Otherwise just go on a basic elimination diet and add in one food every 4-7 days (after at least 2 weeks of starting elimination diet).
  18. Yikes! Alls I know is Donna on the 2nd, Susan on the 4th, Bev on the 5th, Rachel on the 10th. I don't know your other appointments Rachel. Did I miss anyone? It is a breyer Goeffert Friesian repainted as a chestnut Gypsy Vanner. Beautiful. I'll keep him. My hubby had said I didn't really need to sell anymore if I didn't want to....
  19. I'll be waiting to see what your initial impression is..... Grump, We are just south of you in Kalama. So now I know we get pretty much the same weather. We had actually wanted to move to Eastern Washington (NW part) but there aren't alot of jobs over there. We are from the Olympia/Rochester area originally (about an hour north). ...
  20. Jenni, That is a good idea. Gluten can cause a lot of different problems. I have a book called Dangerous Grains (I think it on Amazon) that list 150 different illnesses/diseases that respond to a gluten free diet. You should notice improvement, but don't know if a month is a very long trial. If you're willing to give it 6 months you might have...
  21. My doctor (who is a MD gone more holistic) uses US Biotek for ELISA tests. I went through him and did them.
  22. Judy, I forgot to add that I'm sorry about the allergies and A/C. My allergies aren't good this time of year either. Having to have the windows open all day would make me miserable, and I don't take anything for them either.
  23. Judy, You're right, that's no surprise. I'm sorry though. I don't know what tests they run for co-infections but maybe you could have that done with the western blots from Igenex when you are ready. I really think your issues are from unresolved lyme or co-infections that weren't dealt with prior to this. Love and hugs.
  24. Woo Hoo!! Donna on the 2nd and you on the 10th.
  25. Rinne, Good letter. For what it's worth I think he should issue you a refune of some sort. The whole way you were treated really irritates me.
