ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something
AndreaB replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Lauralee, I think at naturopathic type doctor would be good. If you could find an MD with naturopathic leanings that would be great. I'll let one of the bioset girls talk about that. I believe naturopathic type doctors do that according to my searches for some in my area. Sounds like Rachel's gal is the best, maybe she knows someone in Canada that... -
ARCHIVED Enterolab Diagnosis
AndreaB replied to PeggyV's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
If you came back negative and have a problem with gluten I would assume that you would have tested low positive on Enterolab's numbers. It means you've been good about keeping gluten out of your diet in my mind. Gluten isn't the only cause of malabsorption. I don't know if you would want to retest that at some point or look into other things. Soy and... -
ARCHIVED Test Result (enterolab)
AndreaB replied to ramsfan1's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
According to Enterolab if you tested positive with them you need to remain gluten free. If you don't feel any better at all then something else is also going on. After you check for SIBO have you looked at other intolerances, candida etc. -

AndreaB replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Could that be part of the reason you got sick when you got back since your body was occupied with fighting off all the intruders? I'll be waiting and no forgiveness necessary for having a life outside the forum. I'd cut back my time drastically before Patti's surgery. Same plant different part. Coriander is the seed, cilantro is the... -
ARCHIVED Think Good Thoughts For Jereseyangel (patti)
AndreaB replied to Mtndog's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
You have been greatly missed Patti! Remember this place has a way of sucking you in. Better figure out a way to make yourself not spend too much time here. -
Carrie, The doctor I see is an MD who has branched into intolerances and toxicity so he did the testing. I was actually referred to him from a churchmember of mine. I'm not sure but most doctors and maybe allergists think delayed reaction allergies (intolerances) are something that either doesn't exist or doesn't need to be bothered with. It wouldn...

I'm super curious about how this works as well, a smidgen skeptical but it seems to work. Bad attitudes...... They say a good/positive attitude makes a world of difference. -
We had low numbers through enterolab but I still consider our family celiac as well all have at least one gene. Whether celiac or gluten intolerance, gluten is still evil to our bodies and being diagnosed before we get real sick (in some people's cases) is a blessing that Dr. Fine offers. I consider his diagnosis official and I too can't wait until he...

ARCHIVED Gut Article: Leaky Gut May Occur From Gluten Even In Absence Of Celiac Disease
AndreaB replied to Nancym's topic in Publications & Publicity
No doubt about it......gluten is not good. I like dogtorj's article as well. He's a veterinarian and also celiac that has done some research. His website is Open Original Shared Link The article is called the Answer. Why the Plane of this Nation's Health is in a Death Spiral (or something like that) is within that article. -
Carrie, I wouldn't test any foods until you had a complete ELISA blood work done for IgE/IgG. IgE being immediate allergic reaction, IgG being delayed. My doctor told me that some foods your body will remember for years. If you have IgE reactions that are severe (which you do, hence the epi-pen) then the ELISA test will show which ones are more problematic...

That's interesting about the vaccine reaction. I wonder how many people would actuaaly be healthier without all the adjuvants from vaccines (let alone the killed virus). -

I buy Bob's Red Mill sorghum flour from the gluten free store in my area. -
ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something
AndreaB replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Welcome Lauralee! I'm glad you posted. I don't have a lot of info and am not familiar with what is available in Canada. The mucous down the throat could be from other intolerances. I don't know if you'd have to see an allergist but you could ask for an ELISA IgE/IgG test. That's a blood draw. Sounds like if you have candida that that could... -

Um, I'm not part of the lyme clan either. We can be honorary members or supporters. Isn't Dr Barrett the one who does quackwatch. I did a search of bioset in Washington and something came up about that that wasn't good. If it's the same person, that would make sense. My doctor had talked about some machine (?) that could "see" cancer hot spots... -

Wow Donna! Glad you don't have lyme. Can the doctors you're seeing now work on your toxicity? What about candida? Doesn't sound like that is a problem. I hear you about buying all the wrong foods. I don't know how much I've thrown out over the last year. The mercury is interesting (both of them). The amalgam removal should take care of... -

Mitch's pictures from his colonoscopy showed everything to be "nice and pink", except the fissure. We didn't get to keep the picture, but I did look at them. -

Carla, That's great about you feeling better! The sauna's helping your skin, sounds real nice. Still can't wait to see what the LLMD has to say. You've been doing so much to treat yourself, I'll be curious to see if he adds anything. Peace, I was the one who mentioned menopause as a way outside chance. I've read of some people starting... -

AndreaB replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Claire, Thanks for posting that info. All very interesting. I haven't had any testing done of that sort....just dealing with minor intolerances and hoping they don't get worse. Looking forward to your next post as well. Judy, Thanks for the update on Evie. Yay! Nikki, Thanks for the link on the thymus. Never heard of it... -

Rachel, How about throwing out those crackers just in case you ever get the idea to eat them again. No point in having them if you aren't going to eat them. Oh, and couldn't you warm up your ice cream in a pan instead of the microwave? It really doesn't take that long. -

ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something
AndreaB replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Rachel, I'm starting to believe most things wrong with our body are foods or chemical (from food or manmade). I wouldn't be surprised if the gluten caused your fibroid. Whether it will go away. Don't know. I assume not since Patti just had surgery for hers, but maybe other foods were contributing once the gluten had started the process. It may be...
