ARCHIVED 3 People Close To Me Are All Dying Of Cancer!
AndreaB replied to Electra's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
I'm so sorry Angie. I agree with jamrock's post. We take for granted we will be here the next day but we truly don't know if we will. It's hard to sit by when you know someone has cancer. My father does as well, but he's the only one so I can't say I know what you are going through. For me I had to take a break from the board as I couldn't be... -
ARCHIVED Eczema/psoriasis
AndreaB replied to Mike44's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I don't know the answer to that. My son broke out in eczema and cleared up after going gluten/soy free. He breaks out with eczema for his food intolerances it seems. I have eczema that hasn't totally cleared going gluten free, but it generally seems a little better. I always have flare ups in the fall/winter so for me I think it must be related to something... -
ARCHIVED gluten-free For 3 Weeks And I Think I'm Feeling Worse!
AndreaB replied to AliceW's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Are you sure you haven't been glutened? If you've eaten out that is a high possibility. If you eat out frequently it could be a lot of cc's getting to you. Are your personal care prodects gluten free? After you've made sure you have nothing with gluten, rye, spelt, barley or oats in it (check makeup, toothpaste, hair care). Scratched non-stick pans... -

Aw Bev, I hope this runs it's course quickly. I knew someone in high school that had it and it seemed to stick around for awhile.

ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something
AndreaB replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Donna, When I was talking to her via pm's she said she would be released on Friday. With my sections they have pretty much the same requirements. If she's eating solids tomorrow she should be fine. I was really annoyed this last time as they wanted to restrict my diet more than the prior hospital the first two were born in. Mitch wound up sneaking... -

Just got a call from Mark since I missed my earlier call. Patti is resting comfortably. She has had some broth so far. He'll be bringing solid type foods tomorrow for her. She had a spinal. They almost didn't go ahead with it due to her cold. I wonder if the spinal helped with that or not. I forget what I had for my sections. We need to keep on... -

Judy, I wonder if they had to take both ovaries. I know she wanted to keep as much as possible. I'm planning on calling her at home early next week. Didn't want to bother her before that. I'll be looking forward to any updates you have before then. -
ARCHIVED Baby Gear - What Do You Need & What Is A Waste?
AndreaB replied to a topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
Yep, it's Diaper Champ by baby trends. I didn't use any walkers, swings, changing tables. I did use a wipes warmer with my first but got rid of it after I saw some spots on the fabric. I think they've changed how they make them now though. My oldest is 7. I just hold the wipe in my hand to take the chill off. Worked just fine. Now I don't worry about... -

AndreaB replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Much different than c-sections. It seems I was in surgery for about an hour, maybe an hour and a half. Recovery with the first was 1 1/2-2 hours since I dozed. Second one I was out within 1/2 hour because they needed the recovery room for someone else. Third, recovery was in the room along with all the baby stuff going on. Different hospital for the... -

Chris said they had a sports cartridge/disk....whatever goes with this system. His friend that was threatening to break everything was playing tennis or bowling I think. -

I didn't like the diaper genie either. I do like the one I have now.....will have to check what the name is. You use your own garbage bags in it. I want to say Diaper Champ. Will try and remember to look at it and post it. -

ARCHIVED The Most Delicious Home-made Gluten Free Bread I've Ever Tasted...
AndreaB replied to mamatide's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Garfava is a combo of garbanzo and fava beans. I just have garbanzo so will be trying it with that. On second though maybe I'd better mix it with something so it won't be too beany. I'll have to think on that. I'm assuming the vinegar is white vinegar. -

She was sheduled to go in at 7:30. He made phone calls around 10 our time. The message got cut off. That would make it 5 1/2 hours but I don't know if she'd been in recovery for awhile or not. I was thinking it would be quicker than that, more like a c-section without the baby. I guess they have more things to sew up and take care of though. She also... -

Mitch's oldest Chris, told us about that. He has it. Sounds kinda like Nintendo is trying to encourage some excercise while you play. Need to make sure nothing breakable is around if anyone is like Chris's friend. -
