  1. Wouldn't do us much good if she was hurt. But she'd know she was loved.
  2. OK, I pm'd her mom. She hasn't been on since June but hopefully her email hasn't changed and she'll get the notification of a pm. You can't turn off pm notifications can you?
  3. I know, I know......she's testing my resolve to not be on here so long. Hasn't happened today since I'm so worried about her.
  4. Robbin, I'm using Rod & Staff. It's a mennonite based curriculum which leaves God in the picture. That is the primary reason we choose it. There are other Adventists that use Rod & Staff and/or Abeka. It is an advanced curriculum with 10 grade being equivalent to 12 grade in public schools. We'll still have to figure out what to do for the...
  5. Thanks Meredith. I'll start searching Walnut Creek Safeways on Monday if we don't hear from her this weekend. I hope we hear from her. If she had been going out of town for awhile you think she would have let us know so we wouldn't worry. Didn't she say she has vacation again in August or was it September? I do hope she is ok. I wouldn't have a clue...
  6. The problem is that San Fran is divided into districts. Looking online there are hundreds of safeways. I thought she worked in the San Fran area, Donna had mentioned something about restaurants that were talked about pages back. I forget what she called it. I'll be back. OK, She shops at Whole Foods in Sherman Creek so Donna figured she worked near...
  7. Susan, Do you know the general area she works in? That's been my problem. What all does the bay area cover. Must be hundreds of Safeway's.
  8. Cecile, You are a sweet, caring person and I'm sure a lot of people would benefit from your spunk and friendliness.
  9. If you're willing and listening, God will put you where he wants you to be, when you're needed for somebody else. Doesn't sound like a good situation with your friends. Can you get out of that one?
  10. Ya, I'm volunteering to homeschool my kids. Seriously though, I don't have time with three youngins.
  11. I'm back and you're getting ready to leave Cecile.
  12. I'm staying on here...but I'm going to eat din-din. I'm also still trying to work on the school schedule, got most of it done. Just realized I forgot some books. I had actually had them but can't find them so I ordered them. I also need to let Mitch in once in awhile.
  13. Patti, Susan, Cecile, It's good that you are all here. Figured I'd wait until Monday before trying to figure out a way to track down Rachel. There are a gazillion Safeway's in California and I'm not sure what area she works in. I'm hoping she just wasn't able to use the computer at her mom's for whatever reason and that she'll check in with us this...
  14. Donna was online this morning but I missed her.
  15. If you can swing the money I would recommend Enterolab. They can catch the intolerance before it hits the blood as they test stool. Open Original Shared Link for more info.
  16. I don't have any references, but wanted to tell you my personal experience. I'm one of those that had no obvious symtpoms. I have realized recently though that some knee to ankle pain was probably a symptom. Anyway, since I've gone gluten free I have been glutened twice. Once by cross contamination in a product and once in cleaning out a jar that had...
  17. Enterolab is a stool test. They test for intolerances to gluten/dairy/soy/egg/yeast. It has nothing to do with allergies. For intolerances they list anything 10 and over as an intolerance. My allergy testing read no reaction to high on a bar graph. Others may list 1-4. That wouldn't have been enterolab.
  18. I'd have to agree with Nantzie. I used enterolab for my family. I am also allergic to gluten.
  19. Wow Chelsea. That sounds great but tiring. How long is the full schooling and are there breaks in between? You will have to make sure to nuture the marriage every chance you get, like weekends. Your time will basically be your jobs, school and hubby's aside from much needed sleep. Obviously it can be done, but I'd never be able to subsist on so little...
  20. Let's see, wasn't it Monday she didn't feel real well? She's probably just having too much fun since she's been feeling better....or maybe she doesn't want to admit that she lost control again and ate a quart.....maybe the dairy has gotten to her. Hopefully she'll update us soon.
  21. Sorry, this just hit me as funny.....it's been one of those days. Tired mommy, fussier than normal baby.
  22. Ya, that ranch sounds like a dream to me. And such a beautiful setting. I'd love to move there and work that ranch, oh well. With youngins and not much extra money I don't know when we'd ever be able to do it. Susan, I also love your picture. I'm assuming Annie (was she the one) is feeling good since, if I understand correctly, she just found an...
  23. I am one of those who never had obvious symptoms, or associated anything with soy (or gluten). I have noticed lately that my knees and ankle joints don't bother me much or at all any more. This has been a problem since the 3rd trimester of my first pregnancy. Maybe that had to do with soy and/or gluten. I do know that if I get glutened now I know it,...
  24. Robbin & Tavi, Hope you two feel better soon and that you, Tavi will be well for the concert. Just wanted to say "hi all". I am going to make a concerted effort to shave much time from this forum which means I may not always have time to do more than say "hi". Hope you all have a great (or better) day.
  25. Welcome Gheidi! I went to school at WWU for a few years. Bellingham is a pretty area.
