  1. He's a beautiful boy! Congratulations to you both again.
  2. The blood work may very well be negative but it won't hurt to have the test if you want it done. I've found that good practitioners as far as muscle testing can tell you what you need to know. Go off of gluten and continue with the lyme testing. Does your chiro or doctor us Igenex? If not, you'll want to order the paperwork from them. You'd need...
  3. Sounds like it would be good to rule everything out. Is your mom willing to do both the GI and the LLMD? Sorry you're having such a rough day today. You need a break.
  4. We are hanging in there. My recent dilemna is whether to continue to charge the toxin binders. I really don't want to but at the same time don't want to be without the binders for the family. That's the only thing we'll be able to stay on once everything else runs out. I've heard/read so much about this country heading into a recession that I'm a...
  5. Yes, it does seem strange without Donna. I think she said she wouln't be able to check in this time. Yay on your new glasses! Give your eyes time to adjust to them. Was it a two week cruise? She's been gone about 1 week. Kitchen is one of the most important things to have set up. Glad to have you check in, I know you must be busy...
  6. The gluten free diet will help tremendously, even if something else is going on you'll see improvement and start to feel a little better. Cross that bridge when it comes. MOST people do great on the gluten free diet and don't have other things that they need to worry about. It would be good to rule out Crohn's as well. That's great that you...
  7. Hope today is better for you. If you're willing to travel to N Cal, what about Rachel and Donna's doctor, or one of them in that office? You know, it might be a good idea to email Scott the better health guy. www.betterhealthguy.com and see who he'd recommend in your area. Rachel, are you guys considered N Cal or Central Cal?
  8. That's great!
  9. Personally, I'd head to an LLMD. Is your mom willing to take you to an LLMD? When are you going to do the Igenex test?
  10. I would say that you most probably have gluten sensitivity, and more than likely celiac. Your history seems to be pointing that direction. Some people have more going on than just celiac/gluten sensitivity so if symptoms don't improve on the gluten free diet then you'd need to continue digging for answers. You will have ups and downs but in general...
  11. That's sounds good to me.
  12. I wouldn't recommend it as biopsies are hit and miss as it is. If your biopsy is positive it would be definate. Bloodwork is not definate and misses a lot of people. The diet is the best 'test'. If the biopsy is negative it doesn't necessarily mean you don't have celiac or gluten intolerance.....just that the spots of villi looked at weren't damaged...
  13. I just skimmed this as I've got to get my kids lunch. Looks to me like you need to go gluten free. The bloodwork is borderline, but who needs more damage to occur before going on the diet. I don't know if you want to go through a biopsy or not or other tests you'd want done. You need to remain on gluten til whatever testing is done. With the symptoms...
  14. Any resting planned?
  15. That's great! BTW, I think it's normal to feel the way you do. Takes some time and adjustment.
  16. You made some good points. I guess I find them scarier as I've never been through them. The earthquake up here rattled quite a few people and caused quite a bit a damage but I was at home and not much was terribly disturbed. We were about 30 miles from the epicenter. My mom's was about 10 or so. Good to hear the chlorella is helping you, and that...
  17. Sherry, Good news on your doctor consult! Hope your trip is going well. We'll be hear for whatever updates you have......and of course when you get back from this trip.
  18. I think you will get much more in the way of answers and possible treatments from an LLMD. I'm sorry about the disappointing appointment, but try to look ahead to getting some answers. Just do the best you can do, that's all you can do. Can't believe how the teachers are treating you. Keep your chin up. I know the stress of what you're going...
  19. Please keep me posted.
  20. I'm assuming funds are tight. They seem to be with most of us. Is there any way you could save up for the Western Blots through Igenex? I think it's been posted that they are between $200- $300. Also you could find a holistic type doctor if you want to pursue IgG food allergy testing. It cost us $350 for the test I believe, not including the doctors...
  21. The last one we had Mitch had Talitha in a back carrier. He dove underneath the table with her. I was on the computer and wasn't too concerned about it till a lamp was knocked over. We don't have as many earthquakes as CA but that was the worst one I'd been in. My dad used to talk of looking over the horizon (not sure if that was here or CA) and seeing...
  22. I hope it's up here so I can meet up with you. You'll have to tell me where else she goes. If you don't want to post it pm/email me or tell me next time we talk. Talitha choose this Micah choose this
  23. We'll have to see if we can meet up if you want. We hibernate most of the winter to try and avoid the flu. Hubby doesn't get paid sick time so he's the one we most worry about aside from the little guy....who turns 2 next month. You would need to have an ELISA IgG test run to get a better idea of what foods you're intolerant to. IgE is immediate...
  24. I, too, believe that the foods cause alot of behavioral problems. So many additives, chemicals, etc.
  25. As far as the consitency of the stools, I'm not sure. I would think it wouldn't take too long though. As far as rashes, depends on whether anything else is in the diet that he's reacting too. My family has multiple food intolerances, but they aren't real bad. My youngest gets rashes when he has something that doesn't agree with him.
