    ARCHIVED Moving!

I am expecting to move to Cape Cod in the very near future, and am wondering of any one out there can recommend a good store, bakery, restaurants etc? This will be a huge adventure, and anything we can have in place before hand would be a HUGE load off my mind. Thanks all.
  2. DW and I have cruised twice now with Holland America, and have had no problems with my gluten-free diet. They were more than helpful, and even baked my a gluten-free birthday cake It was VERY good and not nearly as dense as some other baking can be. I would think that almost any cruise line would be able to accommodate the gluten-free diet and almost...
  3. Well, some good news. And hello We just found out that in less than 2 months, I am moving with the family to Cape Cod. We're both very excited and are looking forward to the adventure. I'll keep you all updated as we go.
  4. Well...back from over a month away from my forums. I've been lurking, but since things blew up here, I needed some time. It seems we've all been busy around here. I hope you are all well, and am diving in to try and get caught up.
  5. New Bakery out of Regina, SK, Canada. Oatstanding Bakery makes gluten-free products that are being sold here where we buy the rest of our gluten-free products. They use oats that are being kept gluten-free from right from the time they are planted. This company was started by the same people who bring us Only Oats, which also makes muffin and cookie...
  6. So...wat if one ear is wet and the other is dry? What strife? It's called 'making life interesting.'
  7. We are. It's about 15 feet from the back door. Step right off the back deck an in. We keep it at about 103 in the winter, and down to 100-101 in the summer. It may not be every night as the wind would freeze us to the ground some nights, but any night we can, we are out there.
  8. Detention does not even work. Nothing works. We're to the point where he is no more than a boarder in our home. We are almost positive he will move out on his 16th B-Day. At which point he is the provinces problem. We have detached ourselves as much as possible. I feel bad because I was the one who used to try and give him the benefit of the doubt...
  9. HAHAHAHA!! It's been a long time since I could laugh like that. It hasn't been very psillie in my house for a few weeks. We've been having HUGE problems with our son. Thanks for the laugh
  10. We have a hot tub, and use it almost nightly. Not only is it good for the hydrotherapy aspect, but we get to spend some time together, look up at the stars and just talk. For my back, and my DWs arms (She an RMT) we use it. It's also nice to sit out there in the morning once the kids are gone to school and enjoy a cup of coffee before we start our...
  11. Holland America. This will be our second cruise with them since I went Gluten Free. They are more than understanding and the staff were very helpful. I was brought the dinner menu at least 24 hours in advance so I could make my selections for the following evening. If we ate at the other cafes etc, we just told them, and my bread/noodles were brought...
  12. Um...What he said. About all these conventions. I mean no offense, but I find all the politics down there quite phunnnie. Up here was have at LEAST 4 parties trying to run the place. Good luck to y'all this fall. (did I do that right?)
  13. DW and I are heading out on our winter getaway, and have 2 days in Ft. Lauderdale before we head out to sea. We are staying on Seabreeze Blvd and I am wondering if anyone here can tell me if there are any good places to eat near by. I know there is a PF Changs a short way away, but am wondering about other places in the area. We will not have a car,...

    ARCHIVED Msn

As do I. I'll put the link in my profile as well.
  15. I too am in the military. I was dx'd after i was in, and after much searching, it turns otu I can stay. There may be a small restriction on where I can get posted, but that's about it. I agree about medical standards to join and to stay, but rules are rules. Does it suck, yes. Is it fair, I suppose that depends on which side of the ruling you fall...
  16. Emily, The Labour Day Classic is always in Regina (GO RIDERS!!) We are not going to the game, but may go into the city today to get some shopping done. It'll be easy since everyone else in Regina will be watching football. Amanda, The house looks awesome. Good luck in the search. Well, off to make some pancakes. Now that DW is home on...
  17. Wow, A rare break in my new crazy schedule to post on the boards. Weather today is nice, but should turn to rain before supper. At least I can get some school work done before all heck breaks lose this week at work. Hope everything is well here in psillyville. I miss you all and will check in more often now. At least I did not pick VAIN...
  18. Next time I try to wade through 80 some pages of this thread, someone slap me please. That's what I get for going on vacation. Just checking in on my way to more university stuff. Hope all is well here in psillietown.
  19. My wife and I watch every week, and have done so since the first season.
  20. How do we get things on that list? Is this something only you ladies can add too?
  21. Emily, It's not really a home brew. Fort Garry Breweries is the name of the company, and the beer is called Nu Bru! (Hey...it even works with psillie pspelling ) Apparently it's only slightly less expensive than La Messagere, but to buy a 6 pack has to be cheaper than buying them from the hotel bar. Well, more courses this morning on how to...
  22. *Peers from behind the land of no forum* Is this thing on? Testing...1.2.3. Wow...I missed this place. Good to see a tonne of good news these days after our brief bout with psillie withdrawl. Just checking in from the fair city of Winnipeg to let you all know things are good for me as well. I am going out to buy some locally made gluten...
  23. I will actually be in Winndypeg next week. I am studying Aeronautical Science, and I can finish my Bachelor's degree and most of my Masters should I desire all online. Makes it easy to be home with the family that way as well. Currently enrolled in an English Composition course, and a Computer Science course. Both seem like they will be harder than I...
