  1. he called my dad. If the guy isn't savvy enough to use google, he's not gonna know about being friends. It totally seems like someone is using stolen information.
  2. yep. And there was someone there named Frank, but not anyone I really worked with. OK, I called the number (from work, which goes through a central switchboard). There is a long connect time, then it goes directly into voicemail which has an answering message of "...yes, leave me a message" creepy?
  3. I have a weirdity for you guys. My dad calls me. He got a phone call from a guy who gave his name as Frank, said we worked together at a smallish company (named the company, I just don't want to type it) and said I'd remember him. Left a phone number that has a NJ prefix. ????  If you google my 'official' name...
  4. I'm going with idiot.... You get one copy of each gene from each parent. Both you and you husband carry either DQ2, or DQ8. You each have only one copy, or one of your other children would have at least one of them.
  5. well, gluten is soluble in alcohol, so you could try soaking them in vodka. I don't know how you would know if it worked or not without poisoning yourself to test it.

    ARCHIVED New Format

I don't think anyone complained. Software packages get updated, and the old versions stop being supported. This happens to be what the new package is. Maybe Scott had some say in the colors and layout, but maybe not. I didn't get to choose the layout for Office 2007, it just came with the upgrade.
  11. Your genes can't confirm celiac disease, but they are suggestive. Yes, your children will have at least one of those genes, and no, your siblings may not (but there is a 75% chance that they have at least one of them).
  12. It's kind of intimidating for a while. Try to skip the packaged foods and buy whole foods. If you need the convenience of a box, look for gluten free on the front. As you get more into the swing of reading labels, look for the obvious - wheat barley rye oats, and also things like malt.

    ARCHIVED New Format

Mine seems the same, both at home and at work. I use Firefox and haven't seen the 'unresponsive script', but then, you may normally use more features of the board than I do.
  14. Yes, stick to whole foods; meats, veggies, fruits. Cook everything because her digestive system may be too damaged to deal with fiber. No milk for a while, it's hard to digest.
  15. This will require much coffee before it makes sense.
  16. Give us your address shroomie, we'll send you a care box, just like you was a college kid.

  21. Go to the 'options' button right under "new topic" and click it to standard.
  22. Me too. And the new year starts in Seattle with pouring rain. This means I have no excuse for not cleaning up the house. I'll try not to over-exert myself. Merry! Happy! Cheery! to all!!!
  23. If your body has learned to produce antibodies to gluten, it can happen anywhere in your body, at any time after exposure to gluten.
