  1. Except for the migraine, this is mine too.
  2. Ok. You bring your squirrel and I'll bring my rooster. That way she'll recognize us.
  3. That's really really nice. I'm glad you have a place that suits you so completely.
  4. That she won't share with total strangers.
  5. I've only been to Dubrovnik and Plivice. Both places were beautiful (in different ways) and the people are wonderful.
  6. Fair enough. I'll book a flight with a stopover in Alberta.
  7. I know. We were making fun of it last weekend. Why would "organic" require so many more additives? Unless they used less chicken to start with and wanted to boost the flavor....
  8. I meant the Croatia house. And where do you hide your key?
  9. Where is your house?
  10. Most. Most people with gluten intolerance can use store bought spices with no problem. If you choose to limit your options based on someone else's experience, that is your choice. I, however, would be inclined to try them myself before making such a decision. However, fresh ground spices are more tasty, so if you do a lot of cooking with spices...
  11. The Organic does have wheat: But it is organic wheat...
  12. Happy to be trapped in your computer, waiting to offer a hug or a shoulder, as needed. Fire the NPA, and when you do it, drop a copy of your new diagnoses on her desk and tell her she would have eventually killed you if you had listened to her. My mom has spinal stenosis, and I fear it for myself, eventually. Please pass on anything you learn...
  13. Even better: Start setting up a network of people from this site to 'visit'. You can probably line up a lot of safe, free meals, and an occasional bed and shower.
  14. This is pretty much how I always travel. Bananas and tomatoes squish easily, so not the best travel companions. Hard fruits and veggies are more forgiving. You can usually find cooked meats in the deli if you don't feel like cooking your own. Cans are heavy, buy as needed. If you'll be on the road for three months you won't be able to afford...
  15. It is a great topic and should be continued given the number of people that try the gluten-free diet for Autism, and other issues. Please do start a separate thread about it so SSG can get feedback for her rant.
  16. As far as I know, there is no such thing as a gluten allergy, and children do not grow out of gluten sensitivity, they only stop exhibiting the symptoms for a while. If you cooked the potatoes in the pot that you usually use for pasta, that would be a source of gluten. Your initial plan sounds good: Stop eating gluten and just see how things go. You...
  17. Fried lungs. Fried flour was pretty nasty too.
  18. Not true: Open Original Shared Link
  19. I like this. Then tell your mom that you are very very sorry that your sister is willing to risk her life and health, but you are not going to follow the same path. If she can't respect your decision to remain healthy, you won't be eating at her house.
  20. No. see this thread: Most Caucasians are type O Open Original Shared Link
  21. Something frozen? And I'm pretty sure any gluten from wheat would have to be on the label.
  22. What would make it easier for you?
  23. I've never seen saline injected into pork, and I'm not sure why it would contain gluten.
  24. And we'll all wear plunge bras.
