  1. It'll be a month before we get it. They actually take the cows in for "processing" per order. I'm dividing it up amongst me, BE, and some friends of mine.
  2. I just bought a bag of these without realizing they're made just down the street! (Ok, across a bridge and 20 miles drive, but still). And they are fabulous!! Open Original Shared Link
  3. Just got back from the Chimacum Farmer's Market where I purchased half a cow from someone who is lucky he was born into a farming family.... As a bonus I got to hear Ravel's Bolero on banjo.
  4. Unless your son has been sick all his life, he hasn't had it from birth, and you can't say for sure that he didn't get the genes associated with the disease from his mother. It's not uncommon for a child to have celiac disease and both his parents be healthy.
  5. None of this is different from what many people here have experienced in the civilian medical system.

So now my eyes are streaming from the dirt in them and I'm spitting it out of my mouth, and it starts to rain. I dust off a bit and manage to catch her and stuff her in the coop, then go after the other one. By the time I catch her it's really raining so when I pick...
  15. She has been living in an earthquake destroyed city for the past few months. Maybe it's not speculation
  16. To your list of "Things that sound a lot more fun than they actually are." add: Chasing after chickens who have just taken a dirt bath while it's raining. :P <- spitting dirt out of my mouth
  17. They would not base his illness (or lack their of) on his children. The point is irrelevant.
  18. Even biological children can have celiac disease without either parent having it. Your argument is without merit. A DNA test for the genes associated with celiac disease will prove nothing since they are very common alleles. It sounds as if you are planning on spending money needlessly. Since you are getting SSI, why bother with the VA? I did some...
  19. I'm curious why you need a bone density scan every two years, and why you'd be willing to expose yourself to that much radiation.
  20. If gluten causes diarrhea, you'd do yourself in more quickly from loss of electrolytes as well as starvation from not absorbing the food. And you'd die feeling like crap, instead of just feeling hungry.
  21. Charlie Brown - The Coasters
  22. Maybe she'll be so suspicious she won't want to visit.
  23. You can post the name of the book and let people decide if they'd like to buy it, or find it at their library.
