  5. The immune system is a cascade; you turn it on a little and it turns on a lot. Think of a giant stack of champagne glasses - you drop something on the top one and you will smash all the glasses. So for every "treat" you are covering your immune system with smashed glass (or at least it will feel like it).

Some people with kids will tell you that having a positive test helped them with food issues at their child's school, and others will tell you that even with the test results they had difficulty at school. If you were vegan would you ask for a doctor's permission to feed your children a vegan diet? If you were asian would you worry about them eating rice...
  20. I'm bringing quinoa salad (quinoa, black beans, tomato, green onion, basil) and brownie (BC cookie mix on bottom of pan, BC brownie mix as top layer).
  21. We also eat a lot more wheat here, and exercise less (car culture) and eat more processed food, etc. You can't isolate one thing from the others and speculate that this one thing is responsible for the issues.
  22. Yuck! What a waste of cheese. It's like the people that make cheese sauce by starting with a roux. Just add more cheese if you want it thicker.

  25. I don't know about your specific restaurant, but no queso recipe I've ever seen has any sort of thickener, other than cheese.
