  1. Maybe a hamburger, if I have time, otherwise something at work.
  2. I'm pre-reminding everyone who answers that it's not appropriate to link to your own blog. If you have an example to show someone either pm them or put it on your profile. You CAN link to other people's blogs to demonstrate something good or bad.
  3. Are you doing organic, free range meats? Maybe it's the hormones in what you're eating.
  4. You could use the grinder for spices or nuts if the coffee didn't work for you.
  5. The devil went down to Georgia - The Charlie Daniels Band
  6. That's right. Her name is Lola. She is a showgirl. With yellow feathers in her haaaaiir and a dress cut down to there...
  7. You can check out DVDs from the library, or watch them there.
  8. Slab o' salmon cooked with curry powder, garlic and salt and finished with a simmer in red wine. Served over microwaved frozen stir-fry veggies, the whole thing sprinkled with lemon juice.
  9. I throw peas into random soups just for a different texture/flavor.
  10. I is happily sunburnt. Garden has a slug barrier around it. Trees have been uprooted from the gutters. Assorted unknown vegetative things ripped out and waiting to dry out in the sun. Piles of plastic pots from things that died last year have been tossed. Startin' on the wine now.
  11. cook 'em up with water or stock. I like adding diced red and green peppers Add green onions, salt, pepper, smoked turkey (or salmon or whatever smoky flavored meat you like). Can eat with a fork or serve over rice.
  12. I can eat small amounts of corn without noticeable problems. Maybe you'll find a level that works for you as well. You also might react to corn, but not corn starch (not enough protein to bother you). The only way to find out is to experiment. I would avoid corn as much as possible until you get the gluten-free thing figured out, and then start testing...
  13. In my brain I call her both 'Caring' and Ka-regn (like Bahrain).
  14. First breakfast: four peanut butter cookies. Second breakfast: Chicken salad over shredded cabbage.
  15. It rarely gets warm enough here to justify buying an ac, even a small unit for one room. I was thinking a fan would work for most days. Do you have a DVD player with headphones that you could take to the library? Go to the mall and hang out in the middle part. Read, people watch, talk about what you are going to shop for next, etc. Why not take...
  16. Time to move on to a less perceptive forum
  17. Excellent. We'll be greeting llamas, chickens, a donkey or two, couple cows, some horses, lots of slugs, and a few dogs taking their owners out for a run. Love seeing the runner dogs. At the beginning they're all excited and happy to be going out, and when you pass them again at the end of their run heads are down, paws dragging, they keep glancing up...
  18. Extra cookies for him? And no slippery floors? How will he handle all the farms full of animals on the walk?
  19. Me too. Even on clean stuff just because it's so much easier to clean up. Keep the pan and use paper muffin cups.
  20. Woot! A soggy gardener has joined us! I've moved on to coffee and peanut butter cookies before heading out for a walk.
  21. Lemmee finish off my bottle of wine first..... I don't do well with this warm fuzzy stuff.
  22. I do understand, having been through two divorces. It's a combination of wanting to keep everything that would make the other person happy, and feeling like you've lost so much already you can't let go of the things you have, whether they should be part of your life or not. Do what you're doing. Let her know that she hasn't lost friends along with...
  23. Three days for processed corn. My psoriasis flares and my joints hurt. Whole corn takes a couple hours and leaves my body suddenly and painfully.
  24. BE and I talk about his ex and the stuff she got in the divorce and took because it's "hers". He said she sits in her small condo packed full of "her" furniture and does nothing. Seems to me that if you aren't careful you end up winning a lot of stuff that does nothing but hold unpleasant memories.
