ARCHIVED Why Don't People 'get It'?Lymetoo replied to floridanative's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease I understand. I decided not to JOIN the ladies group several years ago because I could not eat anything with alot of carbs or sugar because of my yeast problems. Now it's TOTALLY out of the question! Next church potluck will have to be "no luck" for me!

ARCHIVED Concentrace Trace MineralsLymetoo replied to tammy's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications Well, I just bought some last week and have been taking them for about 4-5 days. I don't SEEM to have any bad reaction to it. I'm new to all this, so it's hard to say for sure. I'll check the ingredient list again. Did you look at the list?

ARCHIVED Swanson Vitamins?Lymetoo replied to mesmerize's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications Swanson's nattokinase gave me TERRIBLE gas and bloating. So I don't know if it's the gluten that MAY be in their products, or the natto itself. I haven't bought anything else from them. Go to www.vitacost.com for GREAT good QUALITY products at 40-60% off regular prices! Also www.currentcodes.com gives you discount codes for vita and for other companies...

ARCHIVED Untreated Celiac And Mini-strokesLymetoo replied to elye's topic in Related Issues & Disorders I'm very sorry to hear this as well. I think the fact that you have taken good care of yourself is/has/will pay off!!!! [sorry about the grammar there!] I do know that inflammation causes hypercoagulation. Hypercoagulation can lead to strokes and heart disease. You may want to get tested for that. Try www.hemex.com for info. I have inflammation, which...

They TRY all the time, don't they!! We all have to be vigilant to keep our supplements and natural food products out of their paws. They are all about MONEY, NOT the safety of the public.

ARCHIVED Weird Poop! What Gives?Lymetoo posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease Hope this is on the right forum...?? I had a colonoscopy last Wed and my gut is finally back in "order"....but I'm having strange BM's. They are coming out in "folds" or like one section is placed "inside" another. Very odd looking!! Anybody ever have this?? I've been taking a fiber drink as well and my tummy is feeling much better.....but I've never...

ARCHIVED New Here...and NervousLymetoo replied to Brit's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms I had one 30 yrs ago with NO MEDS at all. I'm not kidding! It wasn't THAT bad....but 3 yrs ago I had one WITH meds and it was breeze....don't remember a thing....no soreness or anything. Good luck and welcome!!

Equal can fry your brain....ditto for Splenda. I have some liquid stevia with vanilla flavoring. It's AWESOME. Does anyone know if it's OK? I haven't had time to call on that one yet. Don't worry about the FDA. Stevia is not a drug. All the FDA does is funnel money to the drug companies....just my BIASED opinion!!

ARCHIVED Is This Chronic FatigueLymetoo replied to sore joints's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms Don't assume you don't have Lyme just because a test came back negative. It's just like the specialty labs for celiac. Not all labs are created equal! If you are in a lyme endemic area like PA then you really need to be tested through Igenex Lab in CA. go to www.igenex.com and/or Open Original Shared Link for more information. [go to the Flash Discussion...

That will work for me. The difference will be that I will have to take the wafer or bread to the communion rail. You know, even the common cup is not that safe, because others eat their bread, then drink. I'm glad we have individual cups. Now I just have to check the wine. Are there any particular wines that are not OK?

ARCHIVED Ok...i Was All Ready To Buy A New Toaster ... ThenLymetoo replied to Lymetoo's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications Thanks for the additional information. In answer to someone's question earlier....I was looking at toasters at Wal Mart. I don't know what brand it was that had the separate sections. I think there were two different ones.

ARCHIVED Blood Test Positive, Biopsy Negative...what Gives!?Lymetoo replied to ekdumas19's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease Read this! Open Original Shared Link Interestingly, written by a celiac veterinarian. He says soy, casein [in milk], and others are all bad for us. I'm new, but it sounds like you're indeed a celiac and I agree about the negative biopsy. A negative biopsy caused me to not be dxd for 30 yrs!!!! No telling how much damage has been done to my body...

ARCHIVED Ok...i Was All Ready To Buy A New Toaster ... ThenLymetoo replied to Lymetoo's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications Hmmm.....a toaster oven....now there's an idea! So the foil would make it safe??? My husband RARELY cooks ANYTHING...not even toast! I had already decided to put my toaster on the far right if I bought two, so crumbs wouldn't fall into mine. If you're sure the oven would be OK, I may do that!
