ARCHIVED Thinking Of A Vegas Trip
Lymetoo replied to Moongirl's topic in Traveling with Celiac Disease
Thanks for the tips on Vegas, Bronco! I will be going again next Spring. I went to Vegas in May but didn't know I was gluten intolerant. I ate at alot of buffets. Can't remember the names of them right now. Great food, but I'm sure I had plenty of gluten there! [wasn't feeling so hot and had D several times] -
ARCHIVED Sand-like Or Grainy Stools
Lymetoo replied to e&j0304's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I think mine were that way. Not sure what you're describing. Mine sort of "fell apart" in the toilet sometimes. Very strange looking. -
ARCHIVED Worms Maybe?
Lymetoo replied to Lister's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
It's very important to take care of parasites. I've heard figures that state 90% of us have them!! YOu would be wise to order some of that dr natura stuff. It's very good and I just called yesterday to make sure it's gluten free....They said YES! I've seen interesting things in my stool. And yes, you can have D and C in the same movement. Happens... -

ARCHIVED So Millet Is Not Ok?
Lymetoo posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I heard there was controversy over millet. I just found that my 'milk thistle' contains millet. Is it safe? -
You might also check into candida. I get tingling and burning in my face and lips when I've eaten something with sugar in it.

ARCHIVED It's Confirmed By A Phone Call That Atkins Products Are A No
Lymetoo replied to Lymetoo's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Well, I asked one day and no one knew for sure. They do not contain wheat as far as I can tell. That's one reason I chose them. I had a known "allergy" to wheat. [THOUGHT it was an allergy...but it's really celiac] They contain soy though and that's probably not any better! -
ARCHIVED A List Of Gluten Free Products
Lymetoo replied to barilla's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Thank you!! I just found the Herb Ox bouillon this week and was praying it was truly gluten free since I had to do a liquid diet for two days. It tasted OK! It's low in sodium or either sodium free so I added my own salt. -
Avoid dairy for SURE if you have sinus problems. I think it's also a bad year for allergies. Has been here.

Yes, I have Lyme too. Ugh. I'm mostly over it, but it will always be there, causing trouble when I least expect it. I'm glad you liked the info on yeast. I've dealt with it alot. As for flagyl. Not my favorite. Took months and months of it for Lyme. It works on "cysts" which the Lyme bacteria create. Hard to explain and i'm sure you'd rather not...

ARCHIVED Reality Hits Once Again...
Lymetoo replied to num1habsfan's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I hear ya, Lisa! I"ve struggled for years with my health. I also have Lyme disease which is so misunderstood by the public. People have no clue how bad it is. Now I found out I'm celiac too and I've had it a LONG time, I'm sure. I haven't cried yet, but I'm pretty down today as well. Crying is good for the soul and for your emotional well-being. Go for... -
I hear ya loud and clear. I'm not feeling so hot myself. I would continue taking probiotics, but make sure they are gluten free. I've had trouble with Primal Defense, and I don't think they are gluten-free AT ALL. Check into PB8 and Theralac. Check them to make sure they are OK. I just got dxd, so I haven't checked those yet. PB8 can be found at...

Lyme disease can present with primarily gastro intestinal pain and diarrhea. It wouldn't be that common to have ONLY that symptom, however. -

ARCHIVED Does Your Child's School Offer Gluten Free Lunches?
Lymetoo replied to Sarah8793's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Wow, Shiba, where do you live? I'm very surprised that the school is that accommodating! I know in Texas, where I used to teach that the schools have to accommodate all learning and medical challenges, so it would make sense that they would also have to take care this. It's a medical problem. -
ARCHIVED So My 1st Post Received No Replies, How About This..
Lymetoo replied to a topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I find this board very confusing to figure out where to post things. I'm sure it's just my Lyme brain or celiac fog. What I can't figure out is why ALL the boards are lumped together when you click on "view new posts"....am I right ? or even more confused than I thought??
