    let me know much and what foods I could have that way I do not have to try each food and see what effects me. I have looked on other sites before and none were this helpful. So thank you for helping us out like this. This is a truly wonderful site and may god bless you.

    WOW--this is EXTREMELY helpful. We are doing a wheat-free diet for myself and our 3 year old daughter and it is these 'hiddens' that are our biggest challenge. Boo hoo, lots of maltose in Chinese treats, our latest 'discovery'!

    This is exactly what a person needs to know when just starting out on the Gluten Free Diet, as it can be quite overwhelming to figure everything out. The more simplified information lists are what is so important to take the complexities out of the process.

    Thank you for this list. The hardest part has been recognizing the hidden gluten. I have recently learned that I am gluten-sensitive. It looks like it runs in both sides of my family. It turns out the problems my mom AND my dad have had for years are caused by gluten-sensitivity. My mom was diagnosed with lupus in '84 and now we think it was celiac disease all this time. My dad is nearly paralyzed due to peripheral neuropathy which started over 10 years ago. They are both going gluten-free and are finding relief for the first time in years. I can't tell you how good it feels to find hope that my dad can walk again. Thanks again for the resources on this website!

    I have recently found out on my own that I have allergies to dairy gluten and wheat. I tried a little English muffin just to test it and I felt terrible. the other night I tried a few semi sweet chocolate chips and cream of tomato soup and once again I felt terrible. I test myself on occasion but no more testing I have realized no more ice cream yogurts and the like sucks but I would rather do without than feel as bad as I have been feeling while eating foods with these ingredients in them. This list is extremely helpful. Takes me ages to shop now but thats ok.

    What is Gluten?
    Gluten is a huge molecule held together by smaller molecules linked together called amino acids. A very tiny part of the gluten molecule can initiate a response. If each amino acid that makes up gluten is represented as a single letter that very tiny part would be: SGQGSFQPSQQ.     FDA Rules All Distilled Alcohol is Gluten-Free
    Celiac.com 08/19/2020 - The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has ruled that distilled foods and spirits made from gluten-containing grains can be labelled as ‘gluten-free.’ The FDA ruling covers fermented and distilled foods, or foods that contain fermented or distilled ingredients, which are made using gluten-containing grains such as rye, barley and wheat.
