My baby had her GI apt moved up from the 3rd to today after the dr reviewed her test results! Im soooo nervous..not sure what to expect at all! Any important questions I should ask? shes going because her IgG test was positive! If they want to do a biopsy do they do that the same day? or schedule for another?

Good luck!! I cannot answer your question. But I wish you and your little one all the best of luck!! Maby you can call the office and ask?

my advice would be to write down questions you have before hand. Personally, I get flustered, so I write my questions down before hand that way I don't forget anything.  Maximize your time with the doc :)  I'd expect that they will schedule the biopsy for a future date during your appointment today.  good luck, and let us know how it goes!

I would write down all questions too, and leave a few lines for yourself to write in the answers.  All those lab tests she had, you might want to ask the GI what each one is and why they think it was abnormal.  Perhaps ask about whether she needs any supplementary digestive enzymes for a while until she is healed. Request nutrient levels tested (D, B12, potassium, ferritin, iron, calcium, zinc) to find out if she needs some big doses of vitamins. If you are breastfeeding, perhaps ask how your diet will affect her and what foods you should eliminate or eat more of.

I imagine they will schedule her a biopsy when you go. Hopefully you'll be at the front of the line due to her young age. Good luck.  :)

I was taking medicine for sibo but it was not agreeing with my stomach at all.Was on gabapentin but it amps me up.I was taking in morning because it wasn't allowing me to sleep. This has always been an issue with medicine and me.Even going to dentist, the good shot that numbs you once, I can't take because it makes my heart beat fast and I  get the shakes.I have to take the crappy stuff and get injected always more than 4 times always. Its infuriating

I showed one doctor I went to once because completely clueless of celiac disease and yes that one was connected to a well known hospital and she said oh thats just a bunch of people that think they are celiac coming together. I said um no they have doctors and knowledge behind what is being written. So bay area is Downplaying this site! SADLY

If you successfully digest gluten with enzyme supplements so it won’t give you side effects, your challenge won’t be worthwhile because the digested fragments of gluten also won’t stimulate antibody production or cause intestinal damage.

You can search this site for prescriptions medications, but will need to know the manufacturer/maker if there is more than one, especially if you use a generic version of the medication: To see the ingredients you will need to click on the correct version of the medication and maker in the results, then scroll down to "Ingredients and Appearance" and click it, and then look at "Inactive Ingredients," as any gluten ingredients would likely appear there, rather than in the Active Ingredients area. https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/
