When Does Gluten-Induced Body Odor Stop?

I expect it to work on a case by case basis, I mean, but what has your experience been? I know not everyone gluten intolerant will even experience BO in the first place, but for those of you that did, did it take any of you months or longer? I've gone 5 weeks without any unsafe foods, without measurable improvement. People still react to the smell. In addition to the possibility that it's just going to take longer, could there be any complications of gluten intolerance that BO could be indicative of, that couldn't just be solved by going off the stuff?

Sorry, I didn't get it. I did notice a change, but it turned out that I was drinking too much ginger tea, which has some negative effects.

I bet if you drink lots of water and take daily walks, you could speed it up a little.

I can't say I experienced this either, or the people in my life are too polite to mention it.  :D I DO get BO is I just use a deodorant rather than an antiperspirant but as long as I wash well and reapply antiperspirant every 20 hours or so, then I am fine. My level of BO hasn't changed. It's high for a woman but I am a heavy sweater... in feminine terms: I "glisten" profusely.  LOL

I know there are prescription antiperspirants that actually stop your sweating in the treated area, but I'm not that severe of a case so I haven't looked into it.

Hi do you use  rock chrystal deodorant.  I have found that this cuts down on the BO smell.  It works by stopping the bacteria that causes the smell multiplying.  The brand I use in the UK is Pit Rock.  It is a little more expensive than a normal deoderant, but the chrystal lasts ages.  It is also a natural product.  No aluminium in it.

My family has been using this product (salt crystal) for 20 years.   It works well (sometimes you have to freshen up after work on a hot day).  My stick (chunk) lasts a few years.  The best part is that it does not stain your clothes.  My white t-shirts stay white forever.

I use homemade lye soap.  It is an excellent cleaner.  Grandpa's makes a good bar which is likely in a store near you.  Homemade soap is often available at craft stores.

Did I ever tell you about the first time I used  homemade soap?  It stunk!  Then I resoaped and it didn't stink.  I realized that I had gotten clean!  Mine is made of olive oil, palm oil, and coconut oil.  Lye is used in the processing.  It is gentle on skin.

Sensitive area to touch  Alot of mucus when passing stools  Feel sick    Had tests done but all came back okay apart from low in vitamin d

Ichthus is the Greek word (using English letters) for fish. The letters in the actual Greek word form an acronym that come from the first letters in the Greek words for "Jesus", "God's Son," "Savior".   Now, back to your family's denial of your celiac disease, I think you can relate to this:

Thanks for the kind words. It's hard to convince my doctor to investigate further because of a negative blood test and he only tested me for one marker. 🙃 I've come to the point where I need to take this into my own hands because the doctors are infuriating and it's not going anywhere. I've been gluten free for a week and feeling better but I was still consuming dairy and I think that's what's backing me up. Next week no dairy introduced.

Hello mantooth nice to meet you it's so uncanny what you wrote you sound just like me even the back issues are exactly the same and I'm new here too trying to find out if I have the same had I too have been struggling to find answers with my docters I don't have a diagnosis but I've been struggling like forever and was told ibs and health aniexty was my problem but on researching I've come to the conclusion it's probably more because i cut gluten and lactose out for 6 months and  it was a incredible change for me so although I can't help with diagnosis I can say your not alone in trying  to find answers 😊
