Hi everyone! I was just wondering if anyone knows if Revlon Colorsilk hair dye is gluten free? I am new to this and there are so many ingredients, that although I went through all of them, I am still confused. Some are definitely questionable. I can NOT stop dyeing my hair. Gray at 35 is not cool. :-/

I don't know what the ingredients are but I wouldn't worry.  Dye your hair, just don't eat it.   :D

You don't have to stop dying your hair. I dye my graying hair all of the time!

Not sure that any hair dye products would be an issue since you are not ingesting them.

I was gray at 30 (I know, not fair!) lol and started dying it then. Not gonna be white. Nope, no way! lol

Garneir will clearly label gluten ingredients. I use their shampoos and conditioners and back when I was still concerned about getting rid of gray they were the brand I used.

Thanks everyone. My doctor said that I need to watch everything I put on my skin, breathe in, etc... I am HIGHLY sensitive and in the most progressive stage of Celiac's at this point. He pretty much told me to not even look at gluten. Ha! That is why I am so concerned right now.

Thank you Ravenwoodglass! I will go take a look at their products. I already have a box of Revlon though, and I've given away enough crap already. I am also wondering if the hair dye is what is causing my hair to fall out so much. Did anyone else have this problem? I am using organic, gluten free shampoo and conditioner, so it can't be that.

I never heard of "progressive stage Celiac".  If you go gluten-free, it shouldn't be "progressing"

Here is some info from Celiac experts.  If you are not ingesting it, it should be fine.

Is hair loss associated with celiac disease?

Hair loss can certainly happen, especially in young adults, but more so as a result of nutrient deficiencies than through association with celiac disease.

What ingredients should I avoid in cosmetic products?

Gluten is only toxic to celiac patients and patients with dermatitis herpetiformis (DH) if ingested. Because gluten cannot be absorbed through the skin, the use of cosmetic and shampoos containing gluten has not been shown to be detrimental to patients with celiac disease or DH. However, we do recommend gluten-free lip products, hand lotions and other products that may end up near the mouth. And, in the case of children, a gluten-free shampoo would be wise.

There're stages 1, 2, 3, 3a, 3b, and 3c when it comes to how far the disease has progressed...meaning how much damage it has done. I am at stage 3c. Maybe I worded it wrong. Sorry. Also, I live in Germany, so I don't see a US doctor for this. They may have a different way of "classifying" the damage that gluten has done to the body.

Thanks for the information! I am going to pick up Garnier today. Looked at it online and they have my color too, so that's great! :-)

But M&M's contain milk, and would not be at all like a Tootsie Roll.

I appreciate you validating me because medical is an issue and it's not ok at all they they do this. Some days I just want to call the news media and just call out these doctors especially when they are supposed to be specialist Downplaying when gluten-free when they should know gluten-free is false negative. Now dealing with other issues and still crickets for disability because I show no signs of celiac BECAUSE IM GLUTENFREE! Actively dealing with sibo and skin issues.Depression is the key because thats all they know, im depressed because medical has caused it because of my celiac and related issues. I should have never ever been employed as a bus driver. After 3 years still healing and ZERO income desperately trying to get better but no careteam for celiac other than stay away frim wheat! Now im having care because my head is affected either ms or meningioma in go in tomorrow again for more scans.I know im slowly dying and im looking like a disability chaser

M&M Peanuts. About the same calories and sugar while M&M Peanuts have fiber, potassium, iron and protein that Tootsie Rolls ("We are currently producing more than 50 million Tootsie Rolls each day.") don't. Click the links to compare nutritional values.  Both are made with sugar, not high fructose corn syrup.  I use them as a gluten free substitute for a peanut butter sandwich.  Try her on grass fed, pasture fed milk. While I get heartburn at night from commercial dairy milk, I do not from 'grassmilk'.

I see it everyday on my feeds.  They go out and buy gluten-free processed products and wonder why they can't heal their guts.  I don't think they take it as a serious immune disease. They pick up things off the internet which is so far out in left field.  Some days I would just like to scream.  So much better when we had support groups and being able to teach them properly. I just had an EMA blood test because I haven't had one since my Doctor moved away.  Got test results today, doctor ordered a D3 vitamin test.  Now you know what  type of doctors we have.  Now I will have to pay for this test because she just tested my D3 end of December, and still have no idea about my EMA.
