I tried using the contact form on the Race website but it doesn't appear to work. Hoping someone might see this here....

I just heard about your race from the Chicago Tribune and am extremely sad to find out that we are gone this weekend and will not be able to attend.

My daughter who is 9, was diagnosed about a year ago and is so sad and feels isolated because she is the only one at her school who has this decease. She would have loved to see and take part in this event to see she isn't alone :-( I have reached out to many "clubs/organizations" but it seems most have dissolved. I would love for her to be a part of something like this.

My question is: are you planning on making this an annual thing? If so, can I get on a mailing list to be notified for next year? Also, if you even need volunteers I would love to help out. I actually sit on another walk committee for the last 10 years. I would love to help out anyway I can. I also work in Marketing and Social media so I have other skills too :-)

Just let me know if you plan to have further events and if you need help organizing.

BTW, great job Alex for taking an interest in your future! We need more people like you :-)

This is just a news article, it isn't directly from the race organizers. We have a service that finds articles related to Celiac Disease and posts them for us.

Have you looked at the website? It has a contact " form". It looked like it was working when I just looked at it. Maybe they have a FB page?

I tried the form on their website (Open Original Shared Link) but when I hit the submit button it tells me it is not working right now. I think the captcha thing is messed up. I would really like to get in touch with them but couldn't find any other way to do it. I was just hoping that someone on here would know someone.

If you don't have Facebook, maybe a friend could send them a message?

Interesting, when I suffered for a few months with ectopics I noticed that carbohydrates would cause indigestion and bloating in my stomach, then that would lead to my heart skipping beats, and I could feel it in my throat, it was very unsettling.  My last serious bout of this was after eating a Muller Rice Pudding for breakfast.   I happened to be wearing a 48 hour halter at the time and cardiology picked it up, but they weren't worried about what they saw. There was some British doctor who'd made some videos on the Vagus nerve that I remember watching at the time which made sense of what I was experiencing, there did seem to be some sort of connection.

I asked my cardiologist about stopping vitamins.  He said his tests account for all detectable vitamins from sources other than food.  I only need to stop them for a couple of days.  He has me keep records of meds and vitamins I've ingested over the past 10 days and prior and he does his calculations.

Reply to treats I try and eat to bring up the glucose. Sometime I get up 3 times a night and eat something. I don't think food is the issue. A lot of the food they say should help doesn't.  Many mornings my level is 59 and I feel sick, sometimes for hours. It has been recommended I go to an Endocrinologist.
