Ok so its Christmas...and I miss my quality street....what other alternative chocolate wise can I substitute with.

red wine only goes so far, then I need chocolate :(

 I know they  seem to indicate only one or two have gluten but when I contact them they just said they couldn't guarantee they weren't at all

Nestlé Canada is committed to the safety and well-being of our consumers; including those with food allergies. We work closely with experts in the field of allergy, such as Anaphylaxis Canada, and regularly seek their guidance on our initiatives.

In Canada, there are ten (10) priority food allergens that must be labelled on all packaging. These are peanuts, tree nuts, sesame seeds, milk, eggs, fish and shellfish, soy, mustard, wheat and sulphites. These allergens must be declared when they are added to pre-packaged foods.

I would encourage you to always read the label. This is going to have the most up-to-date information. Ingredients do change and what is on the package is always accurate. That said, all sweets within the Quality Street container may contain traces of gluten. They are not to be considered Gluten Free.

M&M's and Hershey kisses are gluten-free. I think Turtles are too.... Just settle yourself in front of a candy aisle and read some labels of the ones that interest you. I'm sure you'll find plenty, especially being in Canada where gluten must be listed on the label (read the whole thing anyways), although you may have to skip some packages of assorted chocolates because of of the few which have gluten in them.

 

Chocolate covered nuts are my favourites, or just a bowl of nuts with raisens chocolate chips, salt and coconut. Mmmmm

no they don't have to label them as gluten free or indicate if it may contain wheat, its up to me to read, and most of them have artificial flavouring witch I don't trust

      This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers.       Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

      I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
