Pickled Onions

I guess I am like many, not overly confident on reading the ingredients and trusting that I have it right, on top of that a lot of it is written in Spanish where I live, and so I was wondering on the off chance that someone might know if Kühne Schlemmertöppchen  Silberzwiebeln (pickled onions) is gluten free. I have looked of course but couldn't find anything.

It is SO EASY to make your own pickled onions though.  Save a couple of jars from some other product with lids and wash them up well. I do a huge red onion (so it turns pink in the jar) with some vinegar and sugar, i toss in mustard seeds and coriander seeds.. hmm what else, a star anise, a little bit of cinnamon, and a sliced japapeno for the pretty. Cook it to boil and turn off the heat, throw it in the jar, and wait a couple of days.  There are a wide variety of recipes for this and I have never had any better than the home made versions. TO DIE FOR! :D

YEP!   Notes:  One LARGE onion will fill two olive jars or one spaghetti sauce jar ( I always make my own spaghetti sauce so I have to use olive jars). and they last for months of pickled onion happiness. OH SO YUMMY on pulled pork carnitas!! yesh!

This varies a lot from person to person. I include foods that are not certified gluten-free but are labelled "gluten-free", while super sensitive people only use certified gluten-free. Both types of products have been found to contain gluten, so there are no guarantees either way: It you are in the super sensitive group, eating a whole foods based diet where you prepare everything is the safest bet, but it's also difficult. Eating out is the the most risky, even if a restaurant has a gluten-free menu. I also include items that are naturally gluten-free, for example refried beans, tuna, pasta sauces, salsas, etc., which have a low overall risk of contamination.

I avoid turmeric now because I'm on low dose aspirin, but used to use this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HYBN4DJ My recipes always vary according to what I have on hand, but my base is a frozen berry mix from Trader Joe's: https://www.traderjoes.com/home/products/pdp/fruits-greens-smoothie-blend-075603 In the warmer months I include herbs from my garden like Italian parsley and basil. I add almond milk as well.

Thank you! This is very helpful. Quick followup: what is your recommendation re: gluten-free prepared foods (labeled gluten-free or certified gluten-free) during this time of being more strict about eating gluten-free? Is it necessary to eat only whole foods prepared at home, or is it safe to include prepared / packaged foods in her diet (I'm thinking particularly of snack foods)?

Is blending same as cold press? Is there any juice recipe you tried that you feel helped like the ginger turmeric? Is there a brand turmeric powder you used etc? I used Aloe vera years ago but the taste is hard to get down. What are your go to juices you made?
