OK, with Microsoft everything is as it should be. The blue part with our log in name and notifications and mail is almost two inches, right at the top. Below that is the grey part, almost an inch, with the buttons for forum, blogs, chat, etc.

I'm working on the 406 issue...please let me know if this still happens.

Also, for those who have the formatting issues where the very top notification bar is getting covered up by the ad header, could you let me know which browser, device and operating system you are on?

Scott Adams Grand Master

Please also update your browsers...

iMac OSX 10.9.5 Safari 7.1.8 & ?Google?

I tested using Chrome Version 45.0.2454.101 (64 bit) and there is no formatting issue presenting so it's only happening on Safari for me.

This is a test post...

Ok, I know what was causing the 406 error and think I fixed it...believe it or not it was the use of emoticons....

I would believe it. The craziest things can make everything go wonky.

I'm on Safari & everything is back to normal.

Thank YOU Scott!:)

I see it if I click off and then try to click right back on. The reason I click off by accident is when I read a post, I have to click "back" five or six times before it'll go back to the original page. After I posted this morning I clicked back at least 20 times and finally gave up and closed the whole program.

Scott Adams Grand Master

I understand needing to use the back button...but 20 times??? I'll check into some settings...

bartfull Rising Star

That was when I posted earlier this morning. The last post I made (above) it only took five clicks. I've tried clicking quickly and I've tried clicking slowly. Doesn't make any difference - I still have to click 5 times. It's no biggie, but thought you ought to know.

We just updated the skin on the forum...please report any problems or bugs here.

bartfull Rising Star

The skin? Not sure what that means. I am a dinosaur. But I did just notice that even though there is a star on threads I have posted to, all of them are grey instead of a different color indicating there were new posts I hadn't read yet on those threads.

Scott Adams Grand Master

The skin is just the template so the site has a new look and feel.

bartfull Rising Star

Thanks. And I just noticed that any thread with posts I haven't read are now in bold type. :)

When typing a thread reply in Firefox the response is pretty slow.  FireFox 43.0.4  I don't see this issue on other forums, so think it is this site causing it.  The editing seems slow as heck.

Scott Adams Grand Master

I'll test it out...I use Chrome because it is much faster.

GFinDC Veteran

Thanks Scott!  I forgot to say I am using Windows 10 also.

GFinDC Veteran

OK, well back track for me.  I upgraded to 64 bit Firefox and now the reply editor works much better.  Thanks anyway Scott!  Sorry for the hassle.

Scott Adams Grand Master

No hassle at all...glad to hear this!

The "Top Posters" listing at the bottom of pages seems a little off.  Headings don't seem to make sense with the number counts below them.

Looking at it on my iPad, it seems fine.  For me, the " week" is underlined and then it says people and how many they had for the week.  If I change it( click on) to month, the names and numbers change.  But I didn't actually count how many each person had for the week, month, year, etc..... So maybe you are saying the numbers are wrong? Did you count posts?  I am not sure when it says " month" does it mean " March up until now"? Or "the last 28 days"?  That could effect the number of posts

It sounds like your gastroenterologist is becoming increasingly confident that celiac disease is the likely diagnosis based on both your older and newer lab results. Her suggestion to call each Monday for possible cancellations is actually a great strategy—especially given how long the wait is until your August 29th appointment. It’s also a good sign that she’s advocating for you to be seen sooner, which shows she’s taking your case seriously. The fact that some labs might not have been drawn yet due to overlap with your functional health doctor’s upcoming testing adds a layer of confusion, but that’s unfortunately common when multiple providers are involved. Hopefully, the GI’s...

Thanks for sharing that film, @trents.  I am not sure how I missed that film as I see it is a few years old, but it is very good.  I think you should be fine if you take your own packed lunch and eat it from your own lunchbox etc.  Might be worth doing a lunchtime recce to see how cramped the room is before making a decision - for all you know, there may be other people  there who don't eat gluten?

The GI doc messaged me this afternoon that she believes that the new blood work added to the old is definitely  looking like a celiac diagnosis is in my future.  She wants to me to call into scheduling each Monday to see if I can get my August 29th appointment moved up due to cancellations.  I have never had a doctor recommend that.  She also said there were additional labs that she requested still out that have not come back yet; so, they may have been missed drawing those since the functional health doctor has a whole slew of labs that I am suppose to be waiting until August 27th to do. I am still waiting to hear on whether or not she will allow me to do pill prep versus the typical...

Well, I've made if from the pre-diagnosis forum to here!  I've been diagnosed with "latent" or "potential" celiac and my doctor has suggested me to go gluten-free before my appointment with him in October (first available, LOL).  My ttg-iga was 152, my EMA was positive, I have the gene, but my biopsy was negative (and he took 12 samples), so it makes sense to go gluten free to see if I improve. I know the basics - I can find lists of things to avoid, I know about hidden dangers, etc. all of that.  Where I'm struggling is just STARTING.  I need to go shopping and stock up on some staples.  My goal is to not try to find gluten-free alternatives, but to focus on naturally gluten-free foods like...

It’s great that you were finally able to see a gastroenterologist—and even luckier to get in the same day as your referral! It sounds like your GI is taking a very thorough approach, which is reassuring given your complex symptoms and history. The confusion around your different tissue transglutaminase (tTG) antibody results is understandable. The variation between your December and June labs may be due to multiple factors, including differences in the lab performing the test (Quest vs. Mayo Clinic), the specific assay used, and the amount of gluten you had been consuming before each test. Antibody levels can drop significantly when gluten is reduced or eliminated from the...
