:P

I am going to my sister;s on Turkey Day. She will be making the stuffing on the side.

also, what Vodka is OK to drink.

I am bringing Chocalate Pudding with me, is Whipped Cream out of a can alright for Dh?

If she cooks stuffing in a seperate pan, does she also have to make sure that the Turket does not come in contact with stuffing ie counter tops etc.

I do not want a break out.

I drink Ketel One all the time (i mean when i drink, i dont drink all the time :P )and i have never had a problem. But are there vodkas that are not safe? I know flavored vodkas may contain gluten, but i thought all straight vodkas were fine...

I drink Absolute, Sky, and Smirnoff as a standard. When we go out, most places will have one of these. I mix it with diet coke. It sounds gross, but it's really grown on me.

I go back and forth between being able to tolerate vodkas made from grain (even though the gluten gets removed in the distillation process). The best two I've found are SKYY because it's triple distilled and Chopin because it's made from potatoes. Chopin is to DIE FOR. Pricey but worth it. Cheers! Beverly

Ellyntoomey,

Make sure she does not use the same utensils for touching the dishes (ALWAYS A BIG PROBLEM on TUKEY DAY)

Just have her make you a plate first and then let everyone else dive in -- much easier....

I drink Ketel One all the time and Smirnoff (Smirnoff is made from Corn, but the grains in Ketel One don't bother me)

Guest BERNESES

Oh right- Smirnoff doesn't bother me either. Ketel One and Absolut are really tasty too! B)

Thanks Scott. They are gluten-free but cross contaminated.

Hi there @MCAyr I have a small umbilical hernia which came about during my second pregnancy.   I can just about see it, and feel it, when I stand or sit, but it is far less noticeable when I lie down.  I always know when I am putting on weight because I can get pain and burning near the site, funnily enough not on the hernia itself but either side!  I would imagine bloating could cause the same effect as weight gain. In my case I don't think it is my bowel protruding but a bit of fat  - sorry,  I realise this isn't painting a very pretty picture.  But in truth it is scarcely noticeable.  It has never really got bigger in size. I was rather hoping that it could be operated on but here in the UK they don't seem to operate on every hernia anymore.  My GP isn't remotely worried about it. In a way, I should be thankful - it is like an early warning system that I need to go on a diet! Cristiana

The hernia description would likely be unrelated to celiac disease, but you'd need to get it checked out by your doctor to be sure it's a hernia.
