PillCam?

After a positive serum test and negative biopsy, a friend recommended the PillCam to me.  I was wondering if anybody has been diagnosed through the PillCam after a negative traditional endoscopy/biopsy?

I have not had a pillCam. However, unless you have such severe disease that you have scalloping of the small intestine (changes that are visible to the naked eye), the pillCam will probably not help you. The PillCam cannot do biopsies or see villi at the microscopic level. 

I assume you still have symptoms that weren't answered by the endoscopy.  Have you asked the GI what diagnosis he thinks you have?

A pill camera could catch Celiac Disease.

If celiac disease has been ruled out at this time, you can trial the diet to see if symptoms improve (Non-Celiac Gluten Intolerance).  

A pill camera can catch other diseases of the small intestine, like Crohn's Disease, so it might be worth pursuing.  I was sure my niece had celiac disease, but a pill camera revealed Crohn's located at the very end of her small intestine.
