Holiday Sales

Ennis-TX

I am more stressed about what sales will be out on cyber Monday and black Friday then the actual thanksgiving holidays lol. Cooking is just cooking, I do it daily, just doing more and some special dishes. NOW once a year sales on products I use daily like supplements, spices, foods, flours, etc....now that has me stressed. Like I have a limited budget but if I get them on these sales I save money for the next few months buying in bulk on sale......but then the stress of borrowing money and doing so....which purchases to make, what saves me the most in the long run, will it last me til the next sale...balancing all this out with a limited budget when your bad with numbers is scary/frustrating.

Damnest thing is I do not care for the specials on technology. vanity items, etc. I am just focusing on essentials and stuff I use or would use daily to improve my life and make savings in the long run. I think the only actual 2 items I am looking at is a charm for my mother for Christmas and a water filtration system for my kitchen. Other then that it is all food, supplements, spices, and medications lol.

OH another funny thought due to lack of orders, I am opting to go help cook a community dinner at a church for over 450 people. I already brought/opted in to bring my own spices, starches, etc for the areas to keep it safe for my stations and will be helping with the turkeys and serving up a bunch of gluten free/corn free desserts so I will be in a safe element for my health risk. Got 16 turkeys, 1 food service pan of gluten free pear cobbler, 1 pan of pumpkin chocolate brownies gluten free, pumpkin pies to pull out and do starting in the morning.

You are a nice person, Ennis, to do this for Thanksgiving!  If I were in Texas, I would feel safe eating your food and it sounds delicious! To have an allergy safe meal served in a church is a wonderful thing.  :)

Use with the above code at check out, the bars are alright and good for emergency meals, the protein powders are good I use the sancha inchi pegan in baked goods like gram crackers, the pegan vannila twist is one of my favorites. THEY also have BREAD that is low carb and gluten free, check it out great to avoid the carb/starch bloat or if you have blood sugar issues.

Watching a few others I will post on them later I think Lucky Vitamin should be having a huge cybermonday sale coming up, and Lorrann Oils who has all kinds of wonderful flavorings will be having a sale soon.

BLACKFRIDAY17 code gets you 30% off at checkout. These are gluten free, sugar free, and dairy free icecream pints. NOTE they are not as creamy as real icecream but they are still great to indulge in without consequences or guilt, PS I suggest the gluten free pack based on desserts like cake batter, cookie dough, cinnamon roll.

I've tried a few bread recipes but I am by no means an expert. However, this recipe is the best bread I've made to date. It uses 3 grains (or their flours if you prefer) and requires a strong blender (like a Vitamix) but no bread machine. I use it to make English muffins or a loaf of bread. The muffins are a little easier to make and the bread comes out in premade portions. It passes the sandwich test and it tastes great over several days (to my taste, store-bought gluten-free breads tend to lose their flavor on the second day) This recipe is pretty flexible in terms of varying ratios or types of grains.  https://www.instagram.com/p/DPDnyaJjpHh/

I don't have a bread machine but it sure looks like the bread I remember from BC. This is on my "to do" list.

This recipe was created by a scientist and posted years ago. I will admit I haven't made it, but it's also supposed to be quite good:

That sounds like really encouraging progress, and it is great that you are narrowing things down so carefully. It can be surprising how something like added iodine in a milk alternative might make a difference for some people with dermatitis herpetiformis-type symptoms, so your note may definitely help someone else who is still dealing with that last bit of itching. It also sounds like you are finding a more comfortable routine with almond and soy milk, simple safe meals, and watching individual triggers like tuna without feeling completely restricted. This really is a learning curve, and keeping track of what improves or worsens symptoms is often the only way to spot patterns. I hope the dermatology appointment goes well...let us know.
