Yay! I saw those on their website, they look delicious!

Oh, I'm so happy!!! I tried the Midel oreo-like cookies, and I didn't like them at all. Thought they had a funky aftertaste. I have been craving junk food like mad (guess it's from eating so well the past few months) and I couldn't stop thinking how much I miss Oreo's. I'll have to get some ASAP, thanks!

Some day, SOME DAY, I hope to see a faux-reo (fake Oreo), a pie crust mix, a killer baking mix that everyone on this forum raves about that doesn't have potato. I know that's asking a lot.

We finally got Trader Joes in town (YEAH!!!) and nearly every Gluten Free baked good there had potato in it. I looked at the banana waffles with longing...

So for now I will stick with the Glutano (or Glutino? Who knows) faux-reos and my Manna from Anna bread held firmly in my greedy little hands... for they are all I have.

I just got mine yesterday... I haven't opened the bag, yet, because I am saving them for Christmas!!! :) I can't wait to sit in front of the fireplace, with a big glass of milk, and dunk my cookies!! *sigh* Hmmm... do I need to get a life???

Okay, so are they egg-free and soy-free too? I know it's too much to hope for, but...

Tell me I'm not the only one here who thinks that the fact chocolate is *not* banned is evidence of God! If chocolate was out of my life, I'd probably say just forget the whole diet and eat myself to death! I will have to try these cookies, been a few weeks since I was at the health food store and I haven't seen them yet. However, I hope Kinnikinnick has improved their packaging again, because the last bags of double chocolate almond cookies I bought were really stale. The bag had a seal on the fold, but the lining wasn't sealed shut on the inside like they used to be. These gluten-free cookies make life bearable for me, I totally had to cry when the cookies tasted like dried out crap.

CONFESSIONS: Okay ~ who can wait for Christmas??!!?? I opened my bag ~ and WOW!! They were totally awesome! Stop at 1?? No way! They took me back to my Oreo days. Now I can make homemade cookies n cream ice cream!!! Dip in chocolate?? Yum!! I will have to try that one!! :) I can see, though, I will have to limit when I have them around! Yikes!! Or double the treadmill workouts!! :)

YUUUUMMMMMMMMYYYYYYY! My K-Toos just came and I ate 4 for breakfast before remembering that I'm the mom and I shouldn't do that. I haven't had anything even resembling an oreo for 10 years, so I am on cloud nine. I can hardly wait to give a couple packages to the little girl at school who has Celiac. (I'm a teacher.) I'm going to wrap them up in Christmas paper and deliver them.

But a side note on Kinnikinnick bread - I ordered 2 loaves of that too, and no offense to all of you who love this company, but the bread isn't good at all. I'll take Ener-G Brown Rice Loaf over this any day.

Well, which bread did you order????? We like the "white sandwich bread". Have you tried the donuts, pizza crust, or bagels. I've got to tell you, the chocolate chip muffins are devine.

I got the "Robin's" brown rice bread. I'm allergic to eggs, soy and dairy, so that eliminated almost all the Kinnikinnick products. I've never liked white bread, so I don't know if I could stomach gluten-free white bread. The K-Too's only have soy lecithin, which I can handle. Believe me, I'm thrilled with these, so the whole order wasn't a total loss.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and I found myself giggling with happiness as I read how your body reached such spring! And I hope that your current journey is also successful!! Definitely starting the food diary! So many amazing advices. And it’s very scary. It really hits all our soft spots as well as our confidence system. Most doctors I went thought I was underage despite being in my late 20s. Right now I look like am I twelve, but is also this body that’s taking so much, so I might as well love it too! Going to make the necessary changes and stay in this path. Thank you again! 🫶

Thank you so much for the information and kind message! Reading this transformed how I’ve been viewing my efforts and progress. Guess there’s still a lot to celebrate and also heal 😌  Yes, I’ve been taking it! Just recently started taking a multivitamin supplement and separated vitamin D! I also took chewable Iron polymaltose for ferritin deficiency 2 months ago but was unable to absorb any of it.  Thank you again! Hearing such gentle words from the community makes my body and heart more patient and excited for the future.

Your post demonstrates the profound frustration and isolation that so many in the Celiac community feel, and I want to thank you for channeling that experience into advocacy. The medical gaslighting you endured for decades is an unacceptable and, sadly, a common story, and the fact that you now have to "school" your own GI specialist speaks volumes about the critical lack of consistent and updated education. Your idea to make Celiac Disease a reportable condition to public health authorities is a compelling and strategic one. This single action would force the system to formally acknowledge the prevalence and seriousness of the disease, creating a concrete dataset that could drive better research funding, shape medical school curricula, and validate the patient experience in a way that individual stories alone often cannot. It is an uphill battle, but contacting representatives, as you have done with Adam Gray, is exactly how change begins. By framing it as a public health necessity—a matter of patient safety and protection from misdiagnosis and neglect—you are building a powerful case. Your voice and your perseverance, forged through thirty years of struggle, are exactly what this community needs to ensure that no one else has to fight so hard just to be believed and properly cared for.

I had no idea there is a "Louisville" in Colorado!😉 I thought it was a typo because I always think of the Kentucky city--but good luck!
