How Long For Test Results?

I had my kids in on Monday morning to be tested (Celiac panel) and forgot to ask the doctor how long it would take to get the results back. Before I call to pester them, I thought I'd ask you all how long it has taken for your tests. I'm thinking I don't even want to know until after Christmas at this point, but the kids keep asking.

Thanks,

Liz

Depends completely on the lab, but the lab my doc uses takes about a week to get back. The lab my son's GI doc used, only took 3 days. Dunno if that helps, or not. If i was you I would just call and ask, better then sitting around wondering :)

depends on the lab and the doc. expect at least a week, it may be two or three. by three, I'd call.

Thanks, I think I'll wait until at least the end of next week before calling. Really, it will make Christmas easier on the extended family. Everyone is used to me and my special diet, but it would throw them all for a loop if there were more of "us".

The labs that analysed my tests are usually fast. I have recieved some of my test results within 2 days, but I always called and asked for them when I got them that quick. Let us know how everything goes.

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
