Hi Everyone ?

I was wondering which probiotic brand people take? My friend who has Celiacs recommended Solgar & Alforex probiotics.

Has anybody else found probiotics helped them?

Thank you :)

Hana

Yogurt

I agree.  I did yogurt everyday- a couple of times a day .  Probiotics didn’t seem to agree with my gut.  Maybe I never found the right mix

Not sure if they are necessary for a celiac.  Think about it.  Celiacs have intestinal damage when they consume gluten.   Many celiacs have SIBO (small intestinal bacterial growth).  Bacteria belongs in the large colon and not in the small intestine.  When intestinal villi are damaged,  transit time is often delayed.  Those probiotics might end up populating the small intestine instead.

I prefer yogurt and other fermented natural foods too.  Takes longer, but it has been working for thousands of years instead of the last 25 years.  I consume yogurt every single day!  It is one of my “comfort foods”.  Of course, I consume plain yogurt and NOT the fruity, sugary, flavors.

Your response on this matter is what I expect. You’ve had a similar episode years ago, but this one is lasting longer!

I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?
