Hi all,

I've been gluten-free for 5 days now and I'm feeling worse, Sinuses are clogged and I'm more tired. I'm hoping this is the bad before the good. Anyone else experience this? Also , I have sores inside my nostrils, is this common with celiac?

thx

Hmm, haven't heard of sores in the nose before... I will say 5 days is really not long enough to notice any difference for some people. I became more tired after going gluten-free for a while. What are your symptoms? Are you sure you are 100% gluten-free. It is common to miss things in the beginning--have you cked products such as shampoo, lotion etc in addition to food? What types of food are you eating?

Okay, just looked at your other posts. You said gas is your only GI symptom? Were you self-diagnosed or otherwise? Just trying to get some background :)

Hi Jen,

No real GI symptoms other than gas. Self diagnosed.

I don't know if it relates at all, as I haven't heard of the type of sores you describe, but have you looked into yeast overgrowth? The sinus conditions might indicate this also. Try a search on the board for that. You might relate to what others have experienced.

No, I meant two years ago when you had your most recent upper GI scope.
