Glutened Or Another Intolerance?

Let me start off by saying that I know I have intolerances to onions, garlic, soy & milk/lactose in addition to gluten. The night before last I ate an Amy's frozen meal (Enchilada Bowl or something like that) and it did have onions, garlic and soy in it. I knew that it would probably upset my system a tiny bit, but I was NOT prepared for the way I felt for the next 24-36 hours. The previous time I ate it I just had some gas and minor gas pains for a couple hours. This time I was miserable with severe cramping and looser stools, but never D. Not sure if it was a cross contaimination issue (since they do make wheat items in the same place) or if the other tolerances just kicked in. I can tell you one thing...I will NOT be eating that again. I was in a hurry and didn't really have much other choice than a gluten-free donut, which I will choose next time ;) I am finally almost back to normal, but going with very safe foods for a while...things I know won't mess with my stomach/intestines.

Anyone else have any issues with Amy's products?

I've reacted to the enchilada bowl. My tummy was not happy, and I have no other intolerances that I'm aware of other than wheat.

I assumed it was a CC issue.

I have never tried their products--there was a long thread about it not too long ago. From what I remember, there were several people who reported problems with Amy's.

YES! Everytime I have something prepared from Amy's I do. I don't know what it is though. I'll have trouble sleeping and be restless all night and when I do sleep I'll have frightning dreams. I feel like a do when I have MSG. So unless its an ingredient that's a derivative of MSG I don't know. I suspect it is.

Thanks guys! Sorry to hear that others have had issues with those products as well. I will definitely be steering clear of them now. It is a shame b/c they are pretty tasty!

Body dysmorphia experience. When I was at the worst of my gluten problem I use to get chronic constipation; I would spend long time sitting on the toilet. One day as I was tired of sitting, I rested my head on my hands and my elbows on my knees, as soon as I felt the pressure of my elbows on my knees the perception of my body changed to that of a tarantula; I visualized and it felt real. The perception went away as soon as I removed the pressure on my knees, I deducted that the pressure of my elbows on the knees caused the sensation, so I repeated the position and the sensation of having the body of a tarantula happened each time. I have not had that experience since then because I started a gluten-free diet short after. I wonder if those people that look distorted to themselves in the mirror could have something similar but with the responsible sensory contacts located on their feet. I want to document this experience because it might help some research or others, it sounds crazy but I feel the right thing to do is to share it.

Get tested for vitamin deficiencies.  Though neuropathy can be a symptom of celiac, it can also be caused by deficiencies due to poor digestion caused by celiac and could be easier to treat.

Thank you so much for your response  Yes it seems as though things get very painful as time goes on.  I'm not eating gluten as far as I know.  However, I'm not sure of cross contamination.  My system seems to weaken to hidden spices and other possibilities. ???  if cross contamination is possible...I am in a super sensitive mode of celiac disease.. Neuropathy from head to toes
