What Does Dh Look Like?

The online images aren't generally close-up enough for me to tell. What I have looks like chicken pox (and i had that as a child) all over my shoulders, neck, and goes into my hairline. Itches like crazy. I also have keratosis pilaris- and it doesn't look like these.

Here is a link to some good closeups. The ones the link leads to are of the arms. Click on the left hand menu to see the pictures of other body parts.

Ursula, Thank you so much for that information. Those closeup pictures look so frightenly familar to me. My oldest son has a rash like that and is going to a family practice guy who blames it on detergent. As he has sooo many other signs, I am uping the pressure for him to get tested. Hard to convince him as he is in another state and 21 and knows everything about everything (!) Thanks again, and ISGoddess, I hope you get some help soon and feel better asap.

Those are really good pictures. They make me thankful that I was diagnosed before it got THAT bad!

Desperately need a vitamin D supplement. I've reacted to most brands I've tried.

It needs to be said that 50k IU daily is certainly safe for correcting vitamin D deficiency when used for a limited amount of time, for a few months maybe, as was the case in the two studies linked by knitty kitty. But it would not likely be a safe dosage when used for an indefinite period of time.

It's much easier to correct low Vitamin D if you take high doses.  It's safe and health improvement is much faster.  This is how I corrected my severely low Vitamin D level.  I had no ill effects correcting my deficiency this way. High-Dose Vitamin D Supplementation Can Correct Hypovitaminosis D Prior to Total Knee Arthroplasty https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34737019/ Therapeutic high-dose vitamin D for vitamin D-deficient severe COVID-19 disease: randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study (SHADE-S) https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38291897/

I have had low Vit D for years before my Celiac diagnosis. I recommend Nature Made, it’s everywhere. GET THE TABLET, not the oil based capsule. The soy oil in the capsules give me diarrhea!
