Pelletized Garden Seeds Or Cheetos?

Does anyone know what they use to pelletize small seeds in packets? I have definately been glutened and am having a hard time figuring out what it was. I eat very little processed foods but have had a few Cheetos in the last couple of days. Nothing else different.

What are pelletizing seeds?

When seeds are very, very tiny they will coat the individual seeds to make them larger and easier to plant. I have no idea what they might use but do know it would have to disolve .

I've been eating Cheetos with no problems... just had some today...

don't know anything about pelletizing seeds...

Hmmm, Cheetos contain artificial flavor. I wonder if that could be the culprit. As for the seeds...can't find anywhere what they coat them with. Another mystery to solve!

I know cheetos are supposed to be okay, but they make me sick. So do Fritos and Utz potato chips, which even say they are gluten free. I'm trying also to determine what these items might have that are making me sick. Possibly another allergy?

Utz potato chips made me very sick recently. I began to feel it 2 hours after I ate them.. I was sick for over a week. Not back to normal for a while after that. They say gluten-free on the bag, their website says they can't guarantee it. I emailed them, was very nice about it, and never heard back.

Hi and thanks for your replies. I know for sure it was not the cheetos, yayyyyy :D I haven't been able to find out anything about the seeds either but I think I shall wear gloves when I handle them from now on..

      Hey there, have you been tested for allergies? You may not only have celiac disease but be allergic. I have celiac disease and am allergic to Barley, wheat and rye.

      I have osteopenia and have cracked three vertebrae. Niacin is connected to osteoporosis! Do talk to your nutritionist and doctor about supplementing with B vitamins. Blood tests don't reveal the amount of vitamins stored inside cells. The blood is a transportation system and can reflect vitamins absorbed from food eaten in the previous twenty-four...

I don’t take any medications, and the dietician was actually a nutritionist (not sure if that is the same thing) recommended by my physician at the time to better understand gluten free eating.    I almost wish the gluten exposure had triggered something, so at least I’d know what’s going on.
