Hey Folks,

Has anyone heard of or is anyone supplementing with Fulvic and Humic minerals?

What do you know about them, what are the benefits if anyone is supplementing?

Good for binding heavy metals in the body, also great for plants. They’re not all made equal so worth doing some research on suppliers.

Lots of substandard products available, some are amazing for plant and human health, others make a great biocide/herbicide.

Thanks. Have you come across a good quality ultra trace mineral product (from the oceans)? Have you tried the Trace Mineral Research product?

I think we might be talking about different things? I missed the word ‘minerals’ so thought you were referring to fulvic and humic acid.

I just use hymalayan salt in food for minerals, it was formed before the planet was polluted. I’m dubious about eating too much from the sea since Fukushima.

Fulvic and humic acid help bind any cesium you ingest, not sure if it’s an issue with the product you mentioned, maybe they get it from Scandinavia so it’s fine.

We're on the same page ... I was referring to fulvic and humic acid to educate myself about them, but subsequently if you or anyone has tried these trace mineral products ... https://www.traceminerals.com/. I believe the trace minerals come from ancient salt deposits in Utah (which may be polluted?).

I use himalayan salt in food also, but never felt it was doing anything. So I take either Biocare  or Viridian Trace Mineral complex for the essential trace minerals, Selenium, Manganese, Chromium etc. Today I've started taking Viridian Organic Mineral Complex from red algae and seaweed which are harvested of the coast of Ireland and Scotland.

I share your concerns after Fukushima.

Dr Robert Faust is worth looking up for info on humic acids, fulvic is the one with all the health benefits, anti viral, anti inflammatory, chelation ect.

I am using them for mycotoxin binding, they are the more gentle binders. You may like looking into “tox-ease gl” by Beyond Balance® which is great stuff and full of helpful herbs etc that go well with fulvic and help it do its best work. I say, go for it!

@trents i am only taking collagen powder and Vitamin D, but I can definitely look into Magnesium, thank you!    @Scott Adams  thank you so much for your input! I will watch closer to how I’m reacting to xanthan/guar gum from now on. Are there any other common ingredients to be on the look out for?

@trents thank you so much for your response!  When i was diagnosed, I was exhibiting mainly joint pain, hair loss, bloating, and allodynia (painful feeling from non painful stimuli). The muscle spasms only started after diagnosis, and it seems to only happen when I am severely glutened. It’s only happened twice, but it definitely makes me nervous when it happens.    In regard to the pizza, thats what i saw after i got sick from it. I’m still trying to figure out how to switch to ALL certified gluten-free goods.    for the dressing, here is the ingredient list:  WATER, VEGETABLE OIL, VINEGAR, SUGAR, GARLIC, SALT, RED BELL PEPPER, ONION, CONCENTRATED LEMON JUICE, XANTHAN GUM, POTASSIUM SORBATE, HERBS, CALCIUM DISODIUM EDTA, MONOACETIN, SPICES. and the link: https://www.kraftheinz.com/en-CA/kraft/products/00068100903577-zesty-italian-salad-dressing

This older article makes me wonder about the GFCO and its protocols:

I’ve been using almond flour from nuts.com for over 10 years. I have dermatitis herpetiformis all over. The rash started about two months ago. I finally eliminated the almond flour, labeled certified gluten free, two weeks ago, and I think the dermatitis herpetiformis is finally healing. I am so bummed.

If you need that designation you'll likely need to switch to a different brand. It's unfortunate that they don't add it to their label and test for gluten.
