Rash or tingling feel on inside of skin

I do have celiac disease, pots, and hoshimotos. I break out in water, under stress, my body at times will get a prickly tingling feel inside my skin if that makes sense. Almost like I can't stand the feel of my skin, my hair, clothing on me at all. Just curious if anyone else has had a similar experience?

I recall a prickly, itchy feeling that almost burned it itched so bad. Have you been exposed to gluten? Hopefully you're gluten-free.

Hi, Kathy!

Yes, I've had the prickily-tinglies under my skin where I couldn't stand clothing (especially polyester and synthetic blended materials).  I took to wearing my hair pinned up so it wouldn't be itchy on my neck and shoulders.  I took to avoiding hot showers.

I found my prickily-tinglies were due to deficiencies in several B Complex vitamins.  Niacin, Thiamine, Pyridoxine and Cobalamine are especially important in nerve health.  Restoring these vitamins lost due to malabsorption caused by Celiac Disease can greatly improve those symptoms.

High dose Thiamine has relieved my POTS and improved Hashimoto's.

Thiamine is extremely important because all the mitochondria in all the cells in our bodies require Thiamine to make energy so those cells can function properly.

Supplementing while healing will speed recovery.

Here's a couple of helpful studies...

Vitamin B1 deficiency in patients with postural tachycardia syndrome (POTS)

Hope this helps!

Welcome to the forum, @linnylou73! Are you claiming this based on a reaction or based upon actual testing?

This varies a lot from person to person. I include foods that are not certified gluten-free but are labelled "gluten-free", while super sensitive people only use certified gluten-free. Both types of products have been found to contain gluten, so there are no guarantees either way: It you are in the super sensitive group, eating a whole foods based diet where you prepare everything is the safest bet, but it's also difficult. Eating out is the the most risky, even if a restaurant has a gluten-free menu. I also include items that are naturally gluten-free, for example refried beans, tuna, pasta sauces, salsas, etc., which have a low overall risk of contamination.

I avoid turmeric now because I'm on low dose aspirin, but used to use this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HYBN4DJ My recipes always vary according to what I have on hand, but my base is a frozen berry mix from Trader Joe's: https://www.traderjoes.com/home/products/pdp/fruits-greens-smoothie-blend-075603 In the warmer months I include herbs from my garden like Italian parsley and basil. I add almond milk as well.
