My husband bought this at Whole Foods - from prepared foods section. Would any of you eat this?

Tuna with sundried cranberries and lemon, ingredients are:

tuna (light tuna, water, vegetable broth (carrot, potato and soy extractives)

onions

lemons

salt

sundried cranberries

sugar

canola mayonnaise (canola oil, eggs, vinegar, honey, salt, spices, lemon juice)

What do you all think?

I would eat it. Sounds good, and looks ok to me.

If by prepared foods section you mean a deli, then not in a million years.

I think it sounds fine. (and pretty good).

And I eat their instore prepared shrimp bisque soup all the time.

The ingredients are probably fine, but I would worry about cross-contamination from being in the deli case.

I asked Whole Foods about their prepared items because I love stopping there to get a quick lunch. They told me that if there are any allergens in their food, it will be listed. Even the salad bars have prepared salads and the ingredients list is right in front of you.

If it was pre-packaged, I would not worry about cc. If the deli person had to scoop it, I would be concerned.

Whole Foods is pretty good about cross-contamination issues. I would feel as comfortable getting the Tuna Salad there (as long as it has its own labels) as I would eating out a restaurant (ok).

On a side note, I do get chicken salad from my Von's deli here in Las Vegas, but I get it early in the morning (8:30 a.m.) right after they make it (and before the deli has any customers -- that way I am first and the most safe)

I ate the most wonderful chicken salad from Whole Foods deli. I had no adverse reactions to it. I feel just as comfortable there as I would at a restaurant. Actually I feel a bit safer there, they at least know all about cross contamination.

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
