Hi. It has been a while since I have been Glutened but I have had reactions to soy in the last year. But yesterday I ate 3 crisps that stated it contained just dehydrated sweet potatoes. They are not certified gluten free but I thought they would be safe. Immediately I felt like they were stuck in my throat and I had acid reflux with indigestion. I had breathing problems too. Brain fog then followed and I have today got all the aches and pains, tinnitus, nausea, sickness, D, low mood, weakness and neuro symptoms. My question is does anyone else have an instant severe reaction like this to gluten. I used to have a period of 12/24 hours before having symptoms. This was quite a shock to be so severe and come in so quickly. Thank you

Hi,

Yes, my daughter will Sometimes show such instant reactions- hiccuping, acid reflux.  But other times it’s slow and builds up over days if the contaminants is use daily. Over three days or so it’ll be joint pain, nausea, intestinal spasm, etc.

For her, glutening symptoms and their intensity vary.

HI, yes I get this reaction if I eat gluten by mistake or if I eat high fodmap foods as well.  I become nauseous, vomit then it hits the muscles, my legs sometimes give out.  It takes a while to feel "normal" again.

I have not made my own juices but have made my own granola copycat recipe from Trader Joes Turmeric ginger granola. Have you made your own juices? blending vs cold pressed what is better?

Sadly, I just now see the extremely tiny and hard to read wording on the label from some I got from nuts.com last year and it's below the certified gluten free sign which is more obvious. Another concern is that there's no expiration date to be found on any of the packages I have gotten.. It's confusing because they claim these are certified gluten free which Is why I got them due to having celiac. Looks like Tierra Farm has the lesser of the allergens, specifically wheat, so I will have to give them a try. Thanks

After many years of running Celiac.com, one thing I've noticed is that I rarely hear about support groups that organize gluten-free picnics. It seem like this would be a great way to get celiacs together. I've attended various conferences, meetings, and events over the years, but strangely, no gluten-free picnics.
