I wish we had a section for humor! I had no idea where to put this. Please move it if there is a better spot.

The other day some friends were talking about giving things up for lent. I smiled and said I gave gluten up :D My dh is not sure if it should "count". I laughed and said he was just jealous because every year he has to think of something! Not me :) I jokingly said that since I give something up all year I am extra special! We had a good laugh :lol:

Me too me too! I will give up all chocolate that contains gluten, all candy that contains gluten, all cakes that contain gluten, all cookies....hhhhmmmm what else? How about all breads that contain gluten....and oh yeah everything except fish, chicken fruits and veggies.

Sheeesh, the sacrifice practically qualifies us for sainthood at this point!

This year dealing with all the gluten-free stuff I couldn't come up with a sacrifice for lent....I guess I use this one too!! And I was keeping it up well this year too, without even knowing it!!!!

I had a well-timed dx, I'm so hardcore that I'm giving up gluten forever!

Or, I could be more specific and say that I gave up bread. Or cake. Or cookies. Or communion wafers.

I just burst out laughing!!!!! OMG- I can't stop. Actually, here's a link to photos that explain why gluten is so important to the Catholic Church (It's OK- I was raised Catholic- I'm in recovery).

All I could think of was the old HBO show where Dennis Miller would show pictures like that with really funny captions. Guess you had to be there :D

      That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

      Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

      Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
