Are we allowed normal ice cream?

I thought the ingredients in breyers all natural ice cream looked promising...

I thought the ingredients in breyers all natural ice cream looked promising...

MOst ice cream is safe, unless the flavor is cookie dough or somhting.

I have called and verified that Bryers, Eddy's, and Krogers store brand are all gluten-free excpting the flavors like cookie dough that are odvious.

Thanks so much.

I'm very slowly trying to figure out what i'm allowed and not allowed.

I haven't been eating ice cream because i wasn't sure.

But if i could have it, that would be wonderful!

We eat Edy's light and I have some Klondike bars in the freezer too. They will list gluten ingredients.

Be careful of some of the Breyers flavors, such as the checkerboard vanilla & chocolate. They can contain malt flavoring.

I eat Breyer's vanilla and once in awhile Edy'swith no problems.If i can't read what's in it I don't eat it. Some of that stuff in the ingredients list is scary.

There is many mainstream products you can use. Don't give up , it's getting better everyday.

Turkey Hill Ice Cream uses corn and tapioca modified food starches, both of which are also gluten-free.

If the product contains gluten, wheat will be listed.

I e-mailed edy's at www.edys.com and they sent me a list of their gluten-free products. We CANNOT have any of the ones with cookie or brownie pieces (duh) or the French Silk.

The Slow Churned Flavors of Girl Scouts Thin Mint Cookie, Samoas and Nestle Drum Stick all contain gluten.

Classic Limited Edition Girl Scouts Thin Mint Cookie and Samoas, Nestle Drum Stick and Crunch Chocolate Bar Sundae, and Apple Pie also contain gluten.

The No Sugar Added Cookie Dough and Double Fudge Brownie, too.

There are a lot of flavors that WE CAN HAVE!!! :rolleyes: E-mail or call them at 888-590-3397 to get the list. There are a some flavors on the list that I got that were new and not rated yet.

Dreyers website will tell you if any particular flavor is gluten free. It is stated with the ingredient list.

      @Heatherisle, You have good reason to worry. Ask the doctors to do an Erythrocyte Transketolace Activity Assay to test for Thiamine B1 deficiency. Thiamine deficiency is frequently found in B12 deficiency. Deficiencies in all the B vitamins are common with malabsorption due to Celiac disease. Thiamine can run out in as little as three days...

      Just an update on my daughter. She is still in hospital and getting quite depressed about everything. She had a CT scan of head and chest to rule out stroke in view of her symptoms. Thankfully there is no evidence of that so they now want to do an MRI to rule out MS so this is freaking her out and it’s not doing me much good either!!!They’re also going to ...

My husband and I are trying to reassure her the best we can that hopefully it’s just her body’s reaction to having the Vitamin B medication and it’s affecting her nervous system etc. Think the tingling has subsided but still having some lower back and pelvic pain and some leg pain. Thanks for reading and my apologies if I sound paranoid.
