Has anyone had problems eating at pf changs? I am kinda nervous about the cross contamination. I am also wondering if their lettuce wraps were on the gluten free menu. THANK U BERRY MUCH IN ADVANCE~!!! I was also wondering just for fun, what that guy means. THANKS AGAIN FOR THE STUPID QUESTION IN ADVANCE AGAIN.

I usually eat at the bar. I find they give me extra special attention there and are very careful to be sure my food is gluten-free. I try not to go during rush hour. My favorite is the Changs chicken( it is small pieces of chicken fried with a sweet sauce and the steamed veggies . The lettuce wraps don't fill me up at all. The scallops are real good also. I like the teas (not green teas) Their potato vodka martini's are good too. Don't eat the fortune cookie. I'm on a rice free diet but I eat it there. (Brown Rice) They mix up a good sauce - hot sauce, gluten-free soy sauce and mustard. Yummm -- I bring the leftovers home. LindaLee

The Changs Spicy Chicken really reminds me of Chicken McNuggets, which i think it why i like it so much because sometimes I crave chicken McNuggets even though they're awful and I haven't had one in like 10 years.

I eat there a lot and have never had an issue. The gluten free lettuce wraps are the best food ever. I also had their gluten free chocolate truffle last time. Oh my god, can you spell heaven??

I am pretty sure something made me have a reaction there. I ordered the lettuce wraps and used the sauce that they make up. I thought it was something in the sauce, but not sure. I didn't know you could order gluten free at the time.

if you don't order them gluten free, they will make ones that are NOT gluten free. that's probably why you got sick.

I just went to PF yestarday and

1. The waiter was a good guesser, he thought I had celiac

2. I ate about 15 gluten-free lettuce wraps

3. I had these snappy peas with garlic that were quite tasty

4. My cousin tried to "poison me" with the soy sauce (she thought they were all gluten free)(I forgave her because she just bought me 2 swimsuits :P )

5. I felt sick, not because of gluten-free but because I ate all of there new gluten-free dessert, which is like a chocolate truffle moose  (I don't know how to spel) with this wonderful raspberry sauce. I flatly refused to share and on top of the lettuce wraps and the garlic peas, I was really, really full. Thank u sooooo much for all of your suggestions! I am excited for my b-day dinner so I can go to changs instead of eating at my papas kitchen (which is littarly my papas kitchen. (we go out to dindin on bdays and it was mac's and he chose changs for me so I could eat somthing)

 Btw, my favorite explanation was that I am feeling violent, my second was I am a ninja!!

Wooohooo! I have one right around the corner from my house!

I am brand new at this, both the forum & the disease. My wife and I went to PF Changs last weekend and it was great! Our bartender handed us our gluten-free menu and asked "who has Celiacs?" It was a huge relief I was really worried about eating out. They were helpful and nice and I didn't have a reaction. And the lettuce wraps were great!

Yes, some people do get withdrawal from gluten but gluten withdrawal doesn't usually cause gut pain. Maybe more like general body aches and discomfort. We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic. This can damage the stomach lining if you eat it too often. Especially if your stomach lining is already compromised. Ibuprofen inhibits the body's ability to rebuild the stomach's protective mucosal lining. That's why it can cause peptic ulcers. As strange as it may sound, low level irritation/inflammation stimulates the body to rebuild the stomach lining. There are two steps in this rebuilding process known as COX 1 and COX 2. Ibuprofen represses both COX 1 and COX 2. Celecoxcib, a prescription anti inflammatory, inhibits only COX 2, making it less likely to cause damage to the gut lining.

Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen  I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce.   Something is making my pain so much worse  I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs.  Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever would do. I'm fairly new to this. Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding

I think I found a huge culprit for severe reactions to create worsening of my c symptoms. Do people with celiac have sensitivity and /or have opposite reaction to certain medications Where can I find a list ?  I'm new here I'm.wondering why I am getting worse when I take certain medicine...the burning feet.  Rebound muscle pain so intense  How many people get opposite effects or have a horrible attack after these meds

Does anyone know if that includes scrambled eggs and healthy smart butter (,gluten free) I add a very tiny amount of margarine less than a teaspoon.  I did no't have any bread    It just seems like no matter what I eat my stomach and nerves over fire and here comes a host of horrible symptoms. My lower abdomen feels horrible, my right leg thigh muscle.. very odd. Jaw pain. Burning feet , joint pain , you name it  The anxiety just creeps up into brain fog. I don't think I could explain this to anyone who is unfamiliar.  Also,  I most likely will not remember posting this until I check it.  This is highly unusual for me because I have an excellent memory.  One weekend before I knew anything about celiac I lost an entire weekend from severe brain fog, confusion, pain, etc.  I honestly thought I was losing my mind. When I think back I recall eating a lot of PBJ sandwiches and turkey sandwiches.  Once again did not know about gluten.  I was just too sick to cook. Do people fast during attacks ?? It seems horrible to keep going through this. I hope I'm not causing my own problems... I wonder if I should fast because I'm not eating gluten .  Chicken ,  scrambled eggs no milk , canned carrots,  gluten free low sugar low fat Greek yogurt which I already posted about 😞 Any suggestions I am open... I am bedridden when this happens to me.  Thank you Celiac community. 🙏🏻❤️
