Cannot Access Thread

for over 12 hours I have been unable to view the OMG thread. I see that some have posted. When I click on the last page that is shown, Rachel's April posting comes up. When I click on the last posting (today), I get an error message that says the file has been moved or something like that. Am I doing something wrong?

Oh, no, Armetta, we need you!!!! Have you tried re-booting your computer? I had that problem once, but it was with all the threads.

I rebooted and I still cannot view the OMG thread. This is the only thread I cannot access. Did I offend someone, somehow, and I have been banned.

Correction, I also am unable to view the shocking story thread.

CarlaB Enthusiast

Oh, no, I can't imagine the problem!!! The only thread, how strange! Did you try hitting your computer?

I just got on it with no problems. Maybe someone else will have some ideas. Did you try hitting refresh when the page was unavailable? That worked for me, it was a hassle, but I eventually got where I wanted.

I posted on the OMG thread for a recuer to come help you!!

Hi, I can't seem to get on with my computer either. Hi Armetta, when I tried to post to your thread to tell you I was having the same problem I couldn't do that either. This is my sweeties computer, if it stops working suspect aliens.

I've tried re-booting and have DH working on it but if you don't hear much from me it could be just cause my sweetie takes his computer to work.

Just quoting this fyi, Armetta. Maybe if you clear your history it will help. Maybe your computer thinks you have accessed this page enough :P

How do I clear the History? Are you talking about cookies in general. I delete cookies (whole computer) every 7 to 10 days.

I just deleted the cookies on this board and I still can't view those two threads.

To delete history, if you're using internet explorer, click on that arrow thingy that's not the refresh key, it's the history key. Then just right click on each item, then delete. There may be another way to do that, but this is the only way I know. I am just grasping at straws here, but maybe it'll work.

Umm no. :)

In Internet Explorer, go to "Tools" then "Internet Options" then click where it says "Delete files". CAUTION it could take a while depending how much junk you have in there...

Aha, and you can clear the history, too, by clicking on "clear history."

I had already done the "delete" the whole cookie thing from my computer. But, I also did what Carla said to do and voila, there I was able to read the thread. THANK YOU.

I still can't log on, as soon as I do a box pops up that says internet explorer has encountered a problem and it shuts down. I clean up regularly but don't know how to find the thingy you mentioned Carla, where is it? Thanks.

mouse Enthusiast

It is at the tool bar at the very top of the page. Mine shows favorites and to the right of that it has something that looks like a clock with a green arrow on the outside of it. If you put your mouse over it, it will say history. I only keep 5 days in my history so it was real easy to delete everything that had to do with this site. Good Luck.

Sorry, I think I got you mixed up with another poster.

I hadn't been eating gluten free before having the antibody test done. I started eating gluten free after having the test done because the gastro PA told me to eat gluten-free for 6 months. I'm now 3 months in.

I tend to agree with RMJ. Your doc took the reasonable and practical approach to diagnosis. All things considered, it was the right way to go. However, if you have first degree relatives that show signs of possible celiac disease, urge them to get formally tested before they start the gluten free diet.

It sounds like you have a very reasonable GI doctor, who diagnosed you based on family history and symptoms after eating gluten. I would consider you lucky! The other option would be to make yourself very sick by doing weeks of a gluten challenge prior to an endoscopy.
