I've never tried it - and I'm not sure exactly how she does it but my MIL's friend uses polenta instead of noodles in lasagne.

Soft Polenta is a good base for alot of things instead of potatos or rice. Goes best with birds and fish.

Soft Polenta:

salt & ground pepper

3/4 cup Yellow corn meal

3 tbsp butter

In a large saucepan over high heat bring 4 cups water with 1 1/2 ts sa;t and 1/8 tsp pepper to boil. add cornmeal slowly in a steady stream whisking constantly until smooth. Reduce heat to medium low, simmer, whicksing often until thickened, 8-10 min. Remove from heat, stir in butter until smooth.

You can also broil it, after the above, chill for at least three hours in a greased pan. Cut into slices or cubes, brush with a little olive oil, broil 10-20 minutes. Broiled polenta cubes make a great base for a stuffing.

Yummy Polenta. I find it tastes better made from scratch than the premade stuff in the tube. Its reqiculously easy as well.

Layer it in a casserole with red sauce and cheese. Add cubes to stew. Spread it in a pan and use it for a pizza crust. Scoop it onto your plate and eat it with butter, like mashed potatoes.

Good timing! I just got an email with this link: Open Original Shared Link

If you like ratatouille, to me it's perfect over polenta. (I do like it best sauteed, but it's good plain too.)

Definitely make it from scratch, especially if you're serving it soft, the difference is very noticeable.

I eat polenta in place of pasta. I make turkey meatballs (with polenta instead of bread crumbs) and then eat it all with red sauce. It's awesome! I still fry the slices of polenta though.

And actually, I realized that I could make meatloaf the same way because it would be very similar to the meatballs.

This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers. Apparently, the results were good enough that the company is applying for fast track approval.  Anokion Announces Positive Symptom Data from its Phase 2 Trial Evaluating KAN-101 for the Treatment of Celiac Disease https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/1krx2wh/kan_101_trial_put_on_hold/

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
