Text Under My Avatar?

I've noticed a couple people have a different text under their avatar, instead of "advanced community member" or whatever it was that is usually there. I'd love to change mine to explain my avatar, how do I do that?

The joke is of course often people assume I can't eat ANYTHING and I just had to take a pic of this "little snack" I'd made for myself... :P Anyway I wanted to put something like "Poor girl, what on earth can you still eat?" under the picture... :)

I think I went to my controls, them member profile and put my name in custom member option that said it was optional. Try that, I am not a computer whiz!

I'm pretty sure that you have to have 500 or more posts to do it, after you have 500 posts check under my controls and then go to edit profile information yes its optional.

2Boys4Me Enthusiast

Yes, you need 500 posts. I kept looking for this space people were mentioning and it was never there until I hit 500.

Well, Pauliina, you have at this point 98 posts to go, before you can change the text, better get busy! :P

Welcome to the forum, @yellowstone! The most common ones seem to be dairy (casein), oats, eggs, soy and corn. "Formed" meat products (because of the "meat glue" used to hold their shape) is a problem for some. But it can be almost anything on an individual basis as your sensitivity to rice proves, since rice is uncommonly a "cross reactor" for celiacs. Some celiacs seem to not do well with any cereal grains.

What foods can trigger a response in people with gluten sensitivity? I've read that there are foods that, although they don't contain gluten, can cause problems for people with gluten sensitivity because they contain proteins similar to gluten that trigger a response in the body. I've seen that other cereals are included: corn, rice... also chicken, casein. I would like to know what other foods can cause this reaction, and if you have more information on the subject, I would like to know about it. Right now, I react very badly to rice and corn. Thank you.
