HEYYYYY.....Whiskers!!! :):) Methinks a Scot! Um.....Scotsman or woman?? .. . I'm thinking feminine. . .. . ..which actually could be male or female. Well, usually only men have whiskers . ......men and my mother's cleaning lady when I was very young....a little one-hundred year-old Polish lady, tight kerchief always in place 'round her head and neck. Actually, I am certain that she had celiac. I remember little about her, but I DO recall her unbelievable gas, and how she would trudge into our downstairs bathroom and be in there for half an hour.

And she belched a fair bit. Yep, gaseous concerns. And I never connected it to possible gluten trouble until right now.

Imagine if it's her!! What a small world!

Mrs. Knowski? Did you ever read my diary that I had out on my dresser?

Hope all goes smoothly tomorrow . . . be sure to unpack your computer first . . . and check in often . . . :D

Just A quick hi before the work starts.....probably will be sparse appearances until Monday morning....unless I can get the wireless to work at the new house--DSL not switched over until Weds....so I will make work appearances in the meantime....

      good luck! vital wheat gluten made me violently ill. I will touch the stuff ever again.

      I wouldn't consider this lucky. I can NOT tolerate the symptoms. And I googled it and I was not even getting 10 grams of gluten per day and I was extremely ill. They'd have to put me in the hospital. I'm not kidding. I will have my first appt with a GI dr on March 4th I will not eat gluten again - at least not on purpose ...

      What Thiamine Hydrochloride brand do you take? Is it like the other vitamins I have added? What brand Tryptophan and amount do you take. Thanks

      Gluten free Yogurt suggest

      I would not think store bought yogurt would contain gluten unless it possibly could be through an added flavoring or coloring ingredient. Otherwise, it should be naturally gluten free. Keep in mind that some companies are capitalizing on people's fears and ignorance (nothing personal intended) by labeling foods "gluten free" that are just that way by...

      FDA looking for input on Celiac Gluten sensitivity labeling PLEASE READ and submit your suggestions

      I believe the GFCO does use a common logo for certified gluten free products (those containing not more that 10ppm of gluten) but nothing universal yet from the FDA for standard gluten free products (those containing not more that 20ppm).

They are hoping to create a marketing edge over their competitors by adding "gluten free" because they know it may catch attention of those new to the celiac/gluten sensitivity experience without having to cost them anything in the way of changing their manufacturing process or doing testing.
